Who's needs a brain break?🙋♂️ A study found that a 10-minute break every few hours increases work productivity, helps you push through brain fog, reduces mental fatigue, and boosts creativity. That’s because innovative thoughts are usually sparked when you let your mind wander. It’s why some people have some of their best thoughts in the shower or during a good workout. It’s easy to get caught up in working longer hours, but you’ll likely find that a few strategic breaks throughout the day can give your mind the jolt you need to do more and burn out less. ➡️ But here’s the catch: avoid scrolling your social feed if you want the brain-boosting benefits. That activity is more mentally draining. Instead, get outside, find something funny (YouTube could become your best friend), read a book, listen to music you love, and do a hobby or activity you enjoy. The break is half the battle, but what you do with those 10 minutes determines if you return to work more energized or empty. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gH58_8zD

How Often Do You Think? You’d be wondering why I’m asking this question when we all know that too much thinking is bad for our health. Well, the fact that we were asked not to overthink doesn’t stop us from thinking at all, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t put our brains to work or analyze situations. Why do you think many solution runs through your head and mind while trying to solve a problem? Do you think it’s just for you to pick one out of many solutions? No, your mind brings many solutions so you will have a chance to compare these solutions. Whatever solution that comes to your mind while trying to solve a problem needs thorough thinking before applying it. Sit, relax, calm down, drop the problem, focus on the solution, think about the consequences of applying the solution, and think about the risk attached to that solution if it’s worth taking. Do you know some solutions are just solution-like? They are not real solutions, and they only give you the feeling that the problem is solved, whereas it's not. I know one way or the other you would have said “I wish I didn’t do it that way”, you would have regretted your approach towards solving a problem. Anyways, actions taken already are for the past, and thoughts running are for the future. How about you think about your thoughts before putting them into action? Thank you for reading. Kindly share 🤗
