From Crickets to Cha-Ching! As a nurse practitioner, I have always been passionate about sharing knowledge and experiences with others entering the field. After years of hard work and dedication, I finally decided to pen down my insights in an ebook titled "Things They Did Not Teach You in Nurse Practitioner School." Filled with tips on navigating NP school, acing board exams, acing interviews, and thriving in the career, I poured my heart and soul into each page, hoping to guide those treading a similar path. Excitedly, I launched my ebook on Amazon, eagerly awaiting the influx of readers hungry for wisdom. But as the days turned into weeks and then months, I was met with nothing but silence. The numerous other titles vying for attention overshadowed my book as it sat quietly on the digital shelf. Feeling disheartened but refusing to give up, I decided to take matters into my own hands. With a touch of humor and a sprinkle of optimism, I crafted a witty advertisement and launched it into the digital abyss. And then, like a bolt from the blue, orders started pouring in. It was as if the floodgates had been opened, and readers flocked to my ebook like bees to honey. As sales soared, I couldn't help but chuckle at the irony of it all. The lesson I learned was clear: perseverance pays off. In the end, my journey to ebook success taught me that there's no one-size-fits-all approach. Just like in nursing, where there are countless ways to approach patient care, in the world of publishing, there are myriad paths to success. And hey, a little laughter along the way certainly doesn't hurt either. Best regards Miriam Tivzenda.MSN.APRN.FNP-BC.FNP-C. You can get the book below here: https://lnkd.in/g-78aqsP

Little known fact: as a therapist I saw MANY nurses in my practice. I know how high stress a nurse's education and training can feel like and what "work-life balance" looks like on the other side of getting that diploma. It is some of the hardest, most demanding professional work I've seen. And during the pandemic no less. I can't even imagine dealing with so much death and uncertainty. So all that to say, I have a huge soft spot and a ton of respect for nurses. I know how hard it is to come home and pull that energy inward to nurture yourself after pouring it into others all day. Everybody talks about self-care, but the system is set up for extraction. That's why I'm especially excited to partner with registered nurse and financial professional, Sonya Morano along with my advisor and trainer, Claire Skinner to bring you: FINANCIAL SELF-CARE FOR NURSES Tuesday, February 6th 1pm EST / 10am PST Let us show you how to take financial planning off of your adulting task list and on to your pleasure payroll! By the end of the event you'll fill up on: ✅ The 4 cornerstones to building wealth; ✅ The 3 rules of money that will empower your financial future; ✅ The power of leveraged income; ✅ Why diversifying your assets helps you keep more of the money you make; And of course, because it's us, you'll get so much more! Event is tomorrow and there will be a replay available if you're not able to join live. Register using the link in the comments. PS: As a thank you to all the hard work nurses do, please make sure to share with a nurse you love and care about!

🌟 I hosted an incredible free workshop yesterday! 🌟 I had the pleasure of connecting with so many passionate nurse coaches and leaders during our session on "The Power of Hospital-Based Nurse Coaching vs. Traditional HR Wellness Programs." We dove into some critical topics, including: 👩⚕️ The stark difference between traditional HR wellness programs and the personalized support that nurse coaching offers. We discussed how nurse coaching is uniquely positioned to reduce burnout and turnover by addressing the specific challenges nurses face every day. 🏥 The shocking costs of nurse turnover—did you know the average cost in the U.S. of replacing just one nurse is $58,400 (on top of their salary)? We explored how nurse coaching can be a game-changer, not just for nurse well-being but also for hospital finances. 👨⚕️ Why nurse coaches are essential in today’s healthcare environment. We talked about the unique trust and connection nurse coaches can build with their peers, making a significant difference in both nurse satisfaction and patient care. For those who couldn’t make it, don’t worry! I’ve got you covered. 🎥 Drop a comment or send me a message, and I’ll be happy to send you the recording. Let’s continue this important conversation about how we can transform nurse wellness and retention in our hospitals. #nursecoaching #burnoutprevention #hospitalleadership #NurseWellness #HealthcareInnovation #hospitalbasednursecoaching

Hey Nurse, I know you didn't sign up for the profession to feel constantly overwhelmed and drained. It seems like everyone expects you to be superhuman, to juggle work, family and your own health with grace and energy. But lately, it feels like you're dropping all the balls. I see so many nurses just like you, who are given advice like "Just manage your time better" or "Try to relax more". But in reality, these well-intentioned pieces of advice just don't work. How can you relax when you're constantly on your feet or having lots of people depending on you, right? It's time for a new approach. An approach that understands and addresses the unique pressures of nursing. An approach that empowers you, the nurse, to still get stuff done without feeling constantly drained and stressed. It's called Productive Rest, and it's all about managing your personal well-being so that you can serve your patients, family, and yourself better. You get to have a fulfilling career, a thriving family life and time for yourself too. For this reason, I hosting a free masterclass to help you start to feel better about all the balls you are juggling. Join me to explore how to implement stress-reducing tools DURING even the craziest shift, so work doesn't absolutely drain you anymore. Get started with simple tools you can use right now, will make a difference for you and in a community of nurses who get it. "Calm in the Chaos" masterclass goes LIVE July 16, 17, and 18. Comment "CALM" and I'll get you the registration for this amazing FREE event.

Your nurse managers’ success is hidden behind the consistency in their meetings and decisions, no matter what obstacles try to disrupt their path. It's the most common factor in the story of every 'successful' nurse manager we've ever met, yet it's underrated because it's totally invisible. Agreed??
