Managing a remote team can be challenging, especially when it comes to evaluating their performance. How do you know if they are meeting their goals, staying productive, and collaborating effectively? How do you provide feedback and recognition without face-to-face interactions? Here are some tips to help you assess and improve your remote team's performance. ● Set clear expectations: The first step to evaluate your remote team's performance is to set clear and realistic expectations for their work. You should communicate the objectives, deadlines, deliverables, and quality standards for each project or task. ● Track progress and outcomes: You can use various tools and methods to monitor their activities, such as project management software, time tracking apps, online dashboards, or regular check-ins. ● Provide feedback and recognition You should give constructive and timely feedback on their performance, highlighting their strengths and areas for improvement. ● Conduct performance reviews: You should schedule regular and formal reviews with each team member, preferably via video call. ● Support professional development: You should identify their learning needs and interests, and provide them with resources and opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge. #kingmelissa #remotework #teambonding

career coach| fractional HR| building "beyond the spectrum" → podcast, community and resource bank helping neurodivergent people at work and in business
Have you ever felt invisible despite your hard work and accomplishments? You do so much but it feels like your efforts aren’t recognised by your superiors. Well, there are 2 reasons here: 1) You’re doing so much but it’s not what you’re required to. 2) Your superiors don’t have the tools and framework to recognise you and reward you. The first one is easily fixed. → Ask for feedback from your superior. It may sound like this: Hi Y!Can we set up a call/ meeting to discuss my performance and receive your feedback on how I can improve on project X, Y, Z? The second one isn’t a quick fix and requires more effort, but it’s worth it. What can you do?→ use these strategies to help you gain more clarity and find a solution: → Stay persistent → Seek feedback regularly → Network outside your team → Document your contributions → Volunteer for high-visibility projects → Set clear expectations and write them down for your team These strategies will help you increase your visibility within the organization, showcase your contributions, and ultimately get the recognition you deserve. What would you add to the list ^? **** ❤️ Hi!
