Ever wondered why your software projects often hit roadblocks? Let’s talk about the underestimated power of proper project scoping. 🛠️ When we jump into project execution without a crystal-clear scope, we set ourselves up for endless revisions, unmet expectations, and frustrated teams. Here’s what you should consider: 1️⃣ Define the boundaries: Clearly outline what is and isn’t included in the project. 2️⃣ Stakeholder alignment: Ensure all key stakeholders have a shared understanding of goals and deliverables. 3️⃣ Risk identification: Anticipate potential risks and plan mitigation strategies. By taking these steps upfront, you’ll not only save time but also foster a collaborative environment where everyone knows their role. How do you ensure your projects are well-scoped? "They know less than they claim to, cost more than they seem to, and prevent the development of in-house capabilities." This quote from the Financial Times about big consultancies struck a deep chord with me earlier this year. After decades in project delivery, I've seen this play out time and time again: 💰 High fees with low returns. ⏳ Short-term fixes that don't last. 📦 Generic solutions that fail to address unique challenges. Worse still, these quick fixes often create dependency instead of empowerment—a missed opportunity to build the internal capabilities teams need to thrive. This moment of realisation reaffirmed the purpose behind Create Cadence. We were built to do things differently: ✅ Bringing real-world expertise to every project. ✅ Delivering sustainable change that lasts. ✅ Acting as true partners focused on empowering organisations for the long term. As we reflect on 2024 and look ahead to 2025, it’s time to challenge the status quo. Transformation isn't about quick fixes or flashy presentations—it’s about finding the right partner who delivers clarity, value, and lasting impact. 🧐 Read more about why we're committed to a better way in my latest blog: https://lnkd.in/eAdPHUQd Here’s to better project delivery, stronger partnerships, and a brighter future in 2025.

Two things that make "change management" a failed idea from the very beginning. 1. "Change managers" do not become part of the organization. They are not responsible for the results of the organization's work either as a whole or for the results of the work of each department separately. 2. "Change managers" do not get enough Power to carry out their policies in the organization. They don't even get the right to redistribute Power within the organization. Without Power and Responsibility, "change management" turns into an imitation, and sometimes into a parody.
Works every time. Match the problem to the solution. There are no shortcuts. #change #changemanagement #projectmanagement
