This nifty little hack will help you rank your tasks, making your day more manageable and productive. For the next 30 days, I challenge you to implement the A, B, C, D rule and see how it transforms your workflow: 🔠 A - Must Do Today: These are the tasks that absolutely need your attention today. No ifs, ands or buts. 🔠 B - Can Wait Until Tomorrow: Less urgent tasks can be pushed to the next day without any issues. 🔠 C - Delegate: These are important tasks, but they can be handled by someone else. Don’t be afraid to delegate! 🔠 D - Doesn't Need Action: Believe it or not, some tasks don’t need to be done at all. Let’s drop the unnecessary ones. Imagine actually having time in your schedule to reflect and plan ahead! I absolutely love hearing your feedback, so once you've tried this out, please drop me a message and let me know how it worked for you. Need a little accountability boost? I help Business Owners, SMEs and Start-ups focus on their key business activities, by providing virtual executive assistant services and support
Here’s a question for you. How often do you say ‘No’ to someone? Do you say it often enough? Now, most of us are happy to help someone out, but unless it’s a simple answer, it takes up some of your time. The danger is, if you say ‘Yes’ to people’s requests too often, it can have real knock-on effect. Your priority actions could take longer to complete. Client deadlines, or your own internal deadlines, could potentially be missed. Or you end up rushing your work and make mistakes. Reduced productivity or, becoming overwhelmed with having to do too much to meet a deadline, are realistic outcomes by always saying ‘Yes’. Although saying ‘No’ is often difficult, it’s imperative that you do so at times. It’s not rude to say ‘No’ when you go about it in an honest and constructive way. In fact, in general, the other person will have more respect for you because they’ll know that when you do agree to do something for them, they know it will get done! Here are some ideas that are polite ways of saying ‘No’ when you’re asked to do something that interferes with your priority tasks: #timemanagementskills
