Skyryse’s Post

Last week, I wrapped up my summer internship at Skyryse, where I had the privilege of working as a System Test Intern in the Systems Integration Lab. This experience equipped me with hands-on skills in cross-functional collaboration, system testing, and problem-solving. My key responsibilities included: 📊 making telemetry data available in real-time for system tests 👩💻 developing an RTD software tool to record fault data from the flight control computers 🥼 writing/running my own system test case Through this experience, I gained invaluable lessons in learning to navigate unfamiliar challenges, working effectively with cross-functional teams, and overcoming obstacles to deliver high-quality results. A highlight of my internship was attending EAA Airventure Oshkosh with an amazing team of Skyrysers to debut SkyOS and the Skyryse One. While in Oshkosh, I had the unique opportunity to engage with the public, sharing Skyryse's vision, the capabilities of the Skyryse One, and the need for fly-by-wire technology in general aviation. Witnessing the aviation community's enthusiastic welcome of SkyOS and our mission to eliminate general aviation fatalities was truly inspiring. I'm deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from an exceptional team. A huge thank you to my manager Alan Lee, mentor Amanda "Manner" Jacob, software manager Minnie Yoo, and the many others I worked with this summer. Special thanks to recruiters Dayna Cano and Carolina Perez for your guidance and support through my internship, and for making this summer possible.
