Today, I came across an important message in our gents' toilets – the introduction of our Mental Health First Aiders at Utilize Plc. It’s a small reminder that mental health is not something we should hide or feel ashamed of. At our workplace, we’re committed to breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health, and ensuring that everyone knows they have a safe space and support when they need it. Together, we are fostering a culture where it’s okay to not be okay, and where reaching out for help is seen as a strength, not a weakness. Let’s keep the conversation going – because mental health matters, every day. A big shoutout to all our Mental Health First Aiders; Amy Gorbell, Angela Stevens, Anna Gonzalez, Erne Bataitis, Hannah Carter, James Mansell, Kayleigh Skerritt, Lucy Johnson, Marcin Kamieniak, Nick Crawford, Paul Ellis and Tracy Bartlett ACIPD #MentalHealthAwareness #WorkplaceWellbeing #BreakingTheStigma #SupportEachOther

On #WorldMentalHealthDay, we’re highlighting the importance of mental well-being in the workplace. At Securitas, we’ve undertaken various initiatives to support our colleagues, such as training our Mental Health First Aiders, who are always ready to lend a compassionate ear and provide guidance. Additionally, our managers have undergone specialised training to help them recognise and address mental health concerns, ensuring that all our colleagues have the support they need. We also have our WeCare scheme, offering confidential 24/7 support for all colleagues—whether you need counselling, advice, or just someone to talk to. Mental health matters every day. Supervising First Aid for Mental Health builds on the Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health and covers a wider range of mental health conditions and goes into detail on the range of therapy and professional support that a person may be given by professional bodies during treatment for a mental health condition. The course is suitable for all persons within a workplace but is aimed at those who hold a supervisory/managerial level position and who have responsibility for implementing a positive mental health culture and responsibility for First Aid for Mental Health within an organisation. #ManchesterEducation #MentalHealth #Training

Have you ever been surrounded by people but still felt alone? 3.7million people in the UK suffer with loneliness, and these people are almost five times more likely to report high anxiety levels than those who “never” feel lonely. Sometimes, a listening ear is all it takes to help –our Mental Health First Aiders are on hand to listen and provide support. We should feel safe to bring our whole selves to work, without fear of judgement or consequence. Here, one of our six trained Mental Health First Aiders, Athena, shares her “Whole Self” as part of MHFA England®’s “My Whole Self” campaign. https://bit.ly/4aKPQfh We 💙 our people. #BaltimoreDNA #MentalHealthFirstAid #MHFA #MentalHealthAwareness #WorkplaceWellness #EmployeeHealth #MentalHealthSupport #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
