Millennials may be onto something. We all want that job that your passionate about and to work for a company that truly cares about its employees, (not that just says it in a job posting). They may not have room for growth. You may love the challenge of learning more and expanding your skills. A better opportunity just keeps knocking on your door. There are so many reasons why employees jump around, but I believe they all want to settle into a company that encompasses what they are looking for. It may take years for you to find that, but don’t stop looking. When you find, “the one”, you will go above and beyond because your happy and actually enjoy the work/company. Don’t settle. Talent acquisitionors, don’t let a resume with several changes stop you from reaching out. Your company and that prospective candidate may be a match made in heaven. (Even more so for the ones that go out of their way to get your attention). 😉

"25% of millennials change their work to find a more fulfilling job." What does this mean for your recruiting efforts? Retention is the most important part of recruiting. Millennials (and Gen Z) look ahead past the interview and the first few months of work, to how they will feel in a job a year from now. Is this position going to help them feel great about getting up every morning? Will it help them balance life and work? Will their efforts make an impact beyond their salary? If you want to attract and retain Millennial talent, consider some of these strategies: -Student loan assistance: a huge concern for a generation told they needed to go to college, only to be saddled with big debt and a tough job market fresh out of school. -Continuous learning and development: today's employees are looking to learn new skills that broaden their horizons for uncertain times. Are you offering training and upskilling? -Culture and Purpose: Make sure you consider your company and team dynamics when hiring. You want people to get along with their co-workers and feel like they can add value while fitting into the cutlure. #hr #millennials #hiring
