A few years ago Motan shared the journey of the granule ✈️ - Watch Typically it starts from a silo, a 25 kilo bag or an octobox it travels at 25 to 30 metres per second down pipework using vacuum to its destination. On route it may pass through a dryer to remove moisture to ensure it is dry, it can be blended with other resins on route or on the machine. Materials can be selected manually using a coupling system or automatically as in the film using our MetroLink. The principles here are the same today. But at Motan we have a greater selection of options for the hopper loaders due to the changing polymers and the growing introduction of PCR (Post-consumer recycled) materials which tend to be lower quality. So need careful conveying and more advanced technology. We can now reduce the energy footprint using the PCV system by up to 85% on large throughput systems. To learn more contact us... The participation in SEMA Show in Las Vegas showed additional potential in the Americas; ·      Concept and product development of battery energy storage systems (BESS) will be an emphasize in the strategic program 2024; ·      Monbat invests significantly in development of circular economy technologies and carbon footprint reduction. The Italian R&D STC S.r.l. , part of Monbat Group deployed systems for natural gas mechanical recompression on the recycling facilities in Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria, resulting in saving 5M cubic meters natural gas annually. Other patented innovations are on their way to manufacturing. E.g. the patented U4LEAD desulphurization process applicable both for undesulphurized lead paste and metallic lead which uses urea to produce ammonium sulphate and LEAD3 technology for the direct production of pure lead oxide from desulphurized paste with the use of simple hydrometallurgical processes. ·      Monbat remains dedicated to developing Li-ion technology, whereas EAS Batteries GmbH will further develop new high-voltage battery blocks and search for strategic partner. The company is working on a contract with BMW. An agreement for development of economically viable technology for Li-ion batteries’ recycling is also in initial phase. ·      Carbon nanotube (CNT) technology and products will be among the top priorities for 2024. 🤷🏻 Is there such a thing as Cleaner, Greener, Smarter Steel??? 💡 The overall aim of SUSTAIN (Task 1) is to reduce steelmaking carbon emissions by capturing and converting CO2 into commercially valuable products. 💡 Valuable products made from CO2 will lower the overall cost of carbon capture and sequestration to create virtuous integration between steel and chemicals manufacturing. Our next generation technology was initially developed as a small scale 0.1 t/d mobile capture unit which is being deployed at steelmaking sites so the refined gases can be converted to a number of value-added products including #ethanol, #methanol and #DME for use as synthetic transport fuels. #RHIM meets another market leader #ETEX in our office in #Wiesbaden. This Monday and Tuesday we had a number of unique events: 1. Presentation on application of microporous insulation held by Alwin Vogel, Hochtemperatur Isolierung Systeme UG, for our North American Team and attended by the representatives of our main supplier for the category #ETEX. Alwin Vogel has a long experience in refractories and their application obtained during his work at Morgan TC as a production manager and other refractory companies, also Didier Werke which is now RHIM. Now he shares it with us as a consultant. #Energy saving, #sustainablity in industry and #Greenenergy and low #CO2 emissions have been the main hot topics in the recent and are getting even more important in the upcoming years. #ETEX took the lead among the other manufacturers of the similar products and got Silver in the #EcoVadis rating in 2023 which is more then impressive because of the complexity and requirements for obtaining the rating. The next step will be an open discussion between our dedicated teams for sustainability . 2. An open round table with technical experts from RHIM and materials management and sales team of ETEX on block insulation: main advantages and disadvantages of the nano-solutions compared to the conventional materials. After a two-hour vivid discussion all of us got a really good take away having clarified a large number of previously unanswered questions and getting food for thought for the upcoming projects.
