A new study from the Danish Consumer Council THINK Chemicals has identified suspected endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in sunscreens. However, it also revealed that safer options are available. 52 sunscreens were scrutinized and 20 were found to contain suspected EDCs, resulting in them being given the lowest C-rating. This included sunscreen from Nivea, Bondi Sands, and Clarins. The good news is that safer alternatives are available – 22 of the sunscreens did not contain any unwanted chemicals and received the highest A-rating. Purity in Personal Care: Navigating the Paraben Market 🌿🧴 🔗 https://rb.gy/eiwft9 Market Overview: The global paraben market, which includes cosmetics, medicines, and food preservation products, is growing significantly. Parabens prevent bacteria, fungi, and other microbes from growing in consumer products. Their efficacy, low cost, and broad-spectrum antibacterial qualities make them popular. Lotions, shampoos, deodorants, and makeup include parabens as preservatives. They preserve quality, improve shelf life, and prevent microbiological contamination. Paraben alternatives are predicted to develop due to consumer awareness of personal hygiene and demand for natural and organic cosmetic components. Parabens are used in oral and topical treatments to limit #microbial development and maintain efficacy and safety. They keep these items stable and fresh. Parabens are widely used in the food and beverage sector to prevent spoiling and extend shelf life. Parabens prevent bacteria, yeast, and mould growth, keeping food fresh. Market Challenges: Formulation Stability and Efficacy: One of the key challenges faced by manufacturers in the Paraben market is ensuring the stability and efficacy of alternative preservatives. Parabens are known for their broad-spectrum antimicrobial properties and their ability to maintain product quality and safety. Finding suitable alternatives that offer comparable or superior preservation efficacy while meeting consumer demands for safer and more sustainable options is a significant challenge. Key Players in the Paraben Market: 1. Ashland Global Holdings Inc. (United States) 2. AL Group Lonza AG (Switzerland, with significant operations in the United States) 3. BASF Coatings Services S.A. what is ley based soap? Lye-based soap, also known as cold process soap, offers several benefits. It tends to be gentler on the skin compared to commercial soaps because it retains natural glycerin, which moisturizes the skin. Additionally, lye-based soap can be customized with various oils, herbs, and essential oils to address specific skin concerns, such as acne or dryness. Its natural ingredients make it eco-friendly and biodegradable, reducing harm to the environment compared to some commercial soaps. #trycolour #mostlyabhishek

Many products that are labeled "antibacterial" or "antimicrobial" contain triclosan, a chemical with significant health and environmental impacts. Triclosan (also known as Microban, Irgasan, or Ultra-Fresh) breaks down into dioxin, a chemical that has been classified as a probable human carcinogen, and is also known to be an endocrine disruptor. Triclosan can also break down into chloroform, a probable carcinogen. While triclosan has been banned from use in "consumer wash products," it is still permitted for use in other every day items, like deodorant, toothpaste, cosmetics, and detergents. And other antibacterial ingredients have taken its place in the market, though the FDA has asked for more research on their safety and efficacy.
