We are extremely proud to share two significant updates today that are not only big steps forward for our company, but also for realizing the global promise of gene editing technology in agriculture: 1) We have formed a five-year joint venture with Corteva Agriscience to accelerate the delivery of advanced gene editing products and technology, and develop crops that are more resilient to extreme weather events and climate change. 2) In parallel to this new collaboration, we have closed a $40M Series C funding round. Investors including Deerfield Management, Aliment Capital, and Leaps by Bayer, are joined by new investor Corteva through its Corteva Catalyst platform. Investments from this funding round will be used to scale our innovative product pipeline, including seedless berries and pitless cherries, as well as advance our industry-leading Fulcrum™ Platform. “Gene editing is poised to revolutionize agriculture, enabling the cultivation of crops that are more adaptive to climate change, are more nutritious and convenient for consumers, and deliver greater economics for growers. Through our Fulcrum™ Platform, we’re proud to be at the helm of applying this transformative technology in agriculture and, alongside partners like Corteva, accelerate the realization of these benefits across global stakeholders.” - Tom Adams, Pairwise Co-Founder and CEO Read the two announcements in our newsroom here: https://hubs.li/Q02Q1L3R0 #keepgrowing #innovateboldly #pairwise #corteva #cortevacatalyst #geneediting #precisonbreeding #fundraise #startup #investment #agtech #agrifoodtech #agritech #agriculture #farming #agribusiness #innovation #technology #tech #foodtech #foodsecurity #sustainability #climatechange

🌍 Agriculture: A Key Player in Climate Action With intensifying impacts of climate change, agriculture holds the potential to drive a more sustainable future. Crop improvement is essential not just for food and feed, but also for advancing fiber and bioenergy production—key pillars of sustainable agriculture. At Novin AgriTech, we are redefining what’s possible with cereal crops, which have long been considered among the hardest to genetically modify. Our innovative enabling technology is revolutionizing gene editing for wheat and other cereals by overcoming traditional challenges such as genotype dependency and the complexities of tissue culture. This breakthrough accelerates the development of climate-resilient crops, enabling them to thrive in unpredictable conditions while maintaining high productivity. By focusing on molecular improvements, we aim to empower agriculture to combat climate change through sustainable and climate-smart solutions. Together, we can unlock the future of farming and build a more sustainable planet. 🌱 #ClimateChange #SustainableAgriculture #GeneEditing #CRISPR #CarbonSequestration #InnovationInAgriculture #CerealCrops #ClimateSmartFarming #FutureOfFarming #NovinAgriTech

I could not be more excited or proud to have led the BizDev on this deal! This is deal number two with Syngenta: while the prior continues to progress on next-generation seed technology, this new collaboration aims to optimize the production of a secondary metabolite from a microbial strain. The goal is to accelerate the launch of a pioneering new solution in Syngenta's Biologicals pipeline. Synbio is ClimateTech: these outcomes matter in our fight against climate change. By using more bio-based products, which can be used in combination with synthetic crop inputs or on their own, Syngenta is working toward building their biological portfolio to expand grower options. Bravo! Cheers to progress and to our continued success, which can contribute positively to the food chain, supporting people and planet. – read the full story here! https://lnkd.in/dmyqkEWR #SynbioIsClimateTech #Biologicals #Agriculture #Climate #UNSDGs

The pulse industry is investing $21.4 million for research in advancing breeding, disease management and addressing climate change through the Pulse Science Cluster—a cost-shared initiative under the federal government’s Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership. Building on previous Pulse Science Cluster projects, the 2023-28 round of funding aims to continue advancing the profitability and resilience of pulse growers. Over 5 years, the Cluster aims to: - Help industry achieve goals associated with development of pulse varieties resistant to disease and resilient to environmental stress. - Develop new varieties to improve production efficiency, protein yield and profitability. - Develop new management practices for reduced fertilizer or fungicide applications. Growers and the broader industry will be kept up to date with project results as they become available.
