🚀 Transforming Urban Mobility: A Glimpse into the Future of Smart Cities 🌍 We recently had the privilege of hosting an enlightening online exchange with experts in the field of smart mobility, focusing on the integration of innovative data-driven solutions in urban environments. The event, held on March 28th, 2024, was part of the "Financing eco-friendly and sustainable smart cities" project, supported by the Scientific & Technological Cooperation Austria-Bosnia and Herzegovina under the auspices of the International Cooperation in Higher Education Department of the OeAD. This initiative is proudly backed by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF), emphasizing our commitment to advancing sustainable urban development. Participants included esteemed experts from various corners of the globe: - Chen-Wei Li, PhD (ALMEC Corporation, Transport Planner, Tokyo, Japan) - Lazovic-Pita Lejla and Jasmina Mangafic (University of Sarajevo) - Manuel Tschenet (Kufstein mobil eGen CEO, Kufstein, Austria) Discussed were cutting-edge smart mobility trends like video passenger counts, GPS in public transit, and the future of urban mobility with e-scooters and bicycles. Our talks also highlighted the delicate balance between technological advancement and privacy in developing sustainable urban environments. Here is what some cities have been up to over the last month: - Municipality of Florence (Comune di Firenze) held their "Firenze per il clima" event where City Support Officer, Elena Ricci participated. - Guimarães Green Week took place 31 May - 2 June (hosted by Município de Guimarães and Laboratório da Paisagem) where Climate Neutral City Advisors Gabriela Uchoa and Francisco Gonçalves took part in sessions during the week. - Ville de Lyon's Agora expanded with 37 new stakeholders joining the citizen assembly. - Ville de Paris is developing electric roads in a project to improve urban mobility for the city, find more information here: https://lnkd.in/eWWCk8X9 - Mission City #Podgorica launched their latest Innovation Hub, focusing on sustainable urban mobility. - #Wrocław hosted a workshop for Polish Pilot City Activity NEEST (#Łódź, #Krakow, #Rzeszów, #Warsaw).
