https://lnkd.in/ePqSVctm Real world evidence studies often adopt propensity score analysis to restore covariate balance between treatment groups. Did you know that the disease risk score can also be used to adjust for observed confounders, and that it relaxes some assumptions made by the propensity score? In this publication, we propose two new efficient weighting methods to estimate the treatment effect in observational data and illustrate their implementation in two case studies where we investigate placebo treatments for multiple sclerosis and administration of Aspirin in stroke patients. Our upcoming book with Robert Platt and Long Nguyen will dive into these methods, sign up to our newsgroup to stay tuned - https://lnkd.in/ehX4YK6M #realworlddata #realworldevidence #CER
