Polycarbonate is a strong, lightweight plastic material that can be molded to the shape of the injured body part. This allows for a customized fit. The thermoplastic nature of polycarbonate allows the splint to be remolded and adjusted as needed during the healing process as swelling goes down. Polycarbonate splints are more durable and less bulky than traditional plaster or fiberglass casts. They resist cracks and fractures. Overall, polycarbonate provides an advantageous material for splints due to its strength, customization ability, breathability and reusability compared to other options. Product of the month June : HOLLOW GLASS SPHERES 👈 It is widely used in coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers as a crystalline, silica-free, recycled functional filler. 🏭 The specific gravity of the product itself is low, and when filled with resin, it is 20 to 30% lighter than solid balls. In addition, it has excellent fluidity, abrasion resistance, and impact resistance. Compared to other fillers, it is easier to mix, ventilate and mould. Furthermore, a higher concentration is possible and a smaller change in viscosity as well as a significantly shorter gel and curing time. It is possible to add functions such as heat insulation, heat retention, sound insulation, and soundproofing. Hollow Glass Sphere presents a unique combination of advantages which cannot be provided by any other additive. For more information, visit our website 🔍 #productofthemonth #xatico #hollowglasssphere

Ever wonder how those flawless basements and sparkling bathrooms stay so dry? It’s not magic, it’s science! SBR Latex is a superhero in the construction world, a waterproofing champion that keeps leaks at bay. But what exactly is SBR Latex? SBR stands for Styrene-Butadiene Rubber. It’s a liquid additive made from synthetic rubber particles dispersed in water. When mixed with waterproofing materials like cement or mortar, SBR Latex unlocks some amazing characteristics: ✅ Superior Bonding: Imagine a super strong handshake. That’s what SBR Latex does! It creates an exceptional bond between the waterproofing layer and the surface it’s applied to. This prevents delamination and ensures long-lasting protection. ✅ Water Repellent: SBR Latex itself is inherently water-resistant. The science behind it involves the polymer chains in the latex repelling water molecules, creating a physical barrier that hinders water’s ability to penetrate. #waterproofingsolutions #diyprojects #leakproofhome #basementrenovation #bathroomremodel #buildersofinstagram #contractorsofinstagram

Deglazing, deglossing and scuffing might be used interchangeably to describe an existing coating made ready for a new layer. Sometime it’s for the purpose to rejuvenate a worn topcoat, and other times it may be for the purpose of installing a new system. As long as the old coating is sufficiently scratched, then the new coating should attain mechanical adhesion. The video documents scuffing an eight year old urethane. While there are a few ways to achieve a fully deglossed condition, it’s done here using a vacuum brazed 50 grit diamond. 🇺🇸💪🏼🇺🇸💪🏼🇺🇸 #SURFACEPREPARATION #DECORATIVECONCRETE

Fiberglass direct roving can be used directly in certain composite process molding methods, such as winding and pultrusion. Because of its uniform tension, it can also be woven into direct roving fabrics, and, in some applications, direct roving can be further short-cut. #Fiberglass https://lnkd.in/eB2kPgzg
