The Flexible Working Bill comes into effect tomorrow, but a new survey suggests many businesses might be caught off guard. For years, flexible working and hybrid arrangements have been experimented with to varying degrees, but very few organisations truly embraced them, amid fears around productivity. Now, if workers are to be given individual input and freedom around where they work, in an instant, they need to know what is possible in terms of office capacity and wider workplace usage. For businesses, utilisation and occupancy data will be key to creating a win-win for employee freedom and efficient workplaces. What are your thoughts on the Flexible Working Bill? Is it a step in the right direction? #futureofwork #flexibleworking #office #hybridworking https://lnkd.in/eQHzPXRH

Over the past year, remote work has become increasingly prevalent, with a notable three in ten employers witnessing a surge in staff working from home, as revealed by a recent survey from Acas. This shift reflects a growing trend toward flexibility and adaptability in the modern workplace. Interestingly, one in five bosses have cited the reduction in physical workspace as a driving factor behind the adoption of remote work policies. This demonstrates a pragmatic response to the evolving needs of businesses, as they seek innovative solutions to optimise resources while ensuring productivity and employee satisfaction. As remote work continues to gain momentum, it's clear that organisations are embracing change and redefining traditional notions of work environments for the better. #WorkingFromHome #BusinessTrends #FutureOfWork

Hybrid working arrangements, with three days in the office and two at home, have been proven to be just as productive as full-time office attendance, according to a recent study. This trend is gaining momentum in the HR recruitment sector, particularly across financial firms in London. Observing the shift firsthand, I've noticed a varied response among companies. While some are returning to a more office-centric approach of 4-5 days on-site, others are embracing the 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely model. Personally, I strongly advocate for the flexibility that a hybrid setup offers. Working from home a few days a week not only eases the commute stress but also provides a conducive environment for focused work. However, I acknowledge the significance of in-person collaboration and idea exchange during my office days. It's all about finding that equilibrium. What are your thoughts on hybrid working models? Are you anticipating changes in your working pattern soon? #hr #hybrid #londonworking

From the 6th of April 2024, employees will be entitled to request flexible working arrangements from the very first day of their employment rather than after 26 weeks under new regulations. This includes requests for part-time, term-time, flexitime, compressed hours, and varied working locations. A recent study from KPMG also claimed that CEOs are increasingly weighing up the return-to-office question, with 87% (83% in the UK) considering linking rewards, raises or promotions with office attendance. So what does that mean for your own #hybridworking teams? If you are looking to define your flexible working and hybrid policies, here's our top tips to consider. https://lnkd.in/eqYxf2hk Adrian Hitchenor Spencer Jinks John Wakeford

Have you ever wondered if remote work is as practical as in-office work? According to a new study, companies that offer flexibility to their employees are outpacing their competitors in revenue growth. Public flexible companies grew revenue by an incredible 21% compared to just 5% growth for companies with stricter officer policies. Even structured hybrid companies requiring some office attendance perform better than fully in-person companies. This is likely because remote work can boost employee engagement and retention. Do you agree? #flexiblework #remotework #hybrid https://ow.ly/W3F750QmbMS
