When Generative AI first took off, everyone thought Microsoft Azure had the most compelling offering, thanks to their collaboration with Open AI. Amazon has caught up. The Claude offerings on AWS are today as good as Open AI’s offerings on Azure, and many would argue the features on AWS bedrock are better. AWS’ excellence with customer service and ease of use will serve them well long term. Their cloud offering has a high chance of winning the Generative AI race. And in retail, their gross margins should improve now that they have achieved world domination and driven a bunch of their competitors out of the market - and feel less price pressure (sad but true). I invested a bunch of money in Amazon today.
