Three working modes of WIFI module-ESP8266-ESP-01! STA(Stashen) mode: The ESP8226 module is connected to the Internet through the router, and the mobile phone or computer realizes the remote control of the equipment through the Internet. AP mode: ESP8226 module as a hotspot, equivalent to an ordinary router, mobile phone or computer directly connected to the module to achieve LAN wireless control. What is Router on a stick in Networks & Tx - it’s a feature used to allow internet vlan routing - as you know vlan allow switch to break broadcast domain - vlan considered to be single broadcast domain - router on stick allow the communication between different VLANs - that’s called intervaln routing - to perform intervlan routing you can use multilayer switch or router - if you decided to use router , you have 2 options - first option is to config router port for each vlan and this is not the best solution from resource utilization view - second option is to use single physical router port and divide it virtually into multiple subports called subinterfaces - router in stick as a topology can be a single router connected to a switch with a single physical port - we can configure this single port to be multiple subinterfaces and assign ip address for each subinterface - the connection between router and switch becomes Trunk since it will be used to share traffic between all configured VLANs - regarding the configuration we have to configure dot1Q between switch and router port , define subinterfaces and assign ip address for them
