Often, we associate team building activities with organizations and scrum teams. However, it's vital to acknowledge that team building begins at the heart of society – the family. Just like how team building activities assist teams in achieving ongoing results through collaboration and teamwork, they also play a significant role in helping families bond together to yield results. Teamwork makes the Dream Work. #TeamBuilding #FamilyBonding #dreamwork

I’ve successfully completed my latest project at Bounteous! As a Project Manager, fostering open communication and continuous improvement is of supreme importance. I just completed a fruitful retrospective session where team members shared their invaluable insights. Here are 3 key reasons why retrospectives are crucial: 1. 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻: Retrospectives provide an opportunity and safe space to reflect on past successes and analyze failures, enabling us to learn from our experiences and iterate for future projects. 2. 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀: Every team member's perspective matters! Retrospectives empower everyone to voice their opinions, fostering a culture of inclusivity and collaboration. 3. 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: By identifying what worked well and areas for improvement, retrospectives pave the way for actionable steps that enhance processes and boost team efficiency. Excited to implement our action plan and continue striving for excellence while improving refining our process together! #Retrospectives #ProjectManagement #TeamCollaboration #ContinuousImprovement

'Why Retrospective is Important? A retrospective is a chance or opportunity for a team to reflect and learn from the past within a structured meeting. The main aim is to inspect the situation and adapt to the reality. 'The purpose of retrospectives is to help teams improve continuously Please note that well-run retrospectives will empower your team, improve communication and collaboration create more accountability etc. The purpose of a retrospective is to provide a space for team members to discuss what went well, what didn't, and what could be done differently in the future. #ProductManagement #AfricaAgilityFoundation #GITCohort7

The reading of the week so far! "Why You Shouldn’t Assign Team Members to User Stories During Sprint Planning" by Matthias Orgler, MSc Thanks in advance for that! Honestly, it blows and restarts my mind 🤯. Now I just can remember some of my previous sprint planning meetings, all the team faces willing to scream. Also how some team members finished their work first, probably spawning a sense of unbalanced work. Important points to avoid this could be: 1. Understanding and deep knowledge about your team's skills 🥇 2. Clear motivators for each member ⛽ 3. Realistic objectives 🎯 4. Promote transparency through constant retrospective (This ceremony is as crucial as the planning one) 🗣 And as always, implement it, practice it, and improve it! 💪 P.S.: I love the memes in the article so here is one more...
