While both Preventive and Reactive Maintenance aim to keep equipment and facilities running smoothly, do you know how they differ in their approach and impact on operations and costs? Preventive maintenance involves regularly scheduled inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment. On the other hand, reactive maintenance is performed after a breakdown occurs, often resulting in costly repairs and downtime. In contrast, relying solely on reactive maintenance can lead to unexpected breakdowns, production delays, and higher repair costs. It also puts a strain on your maintenance team, who must work under pressure to fix urgent issues. Check out our article on the cost-benefit analysis of preventive maintenance vs. reactive maintenance to understand the importance of implementing preventive maintenance strategies in order to save time and money in the long run - https://hubs.ly/Q02zYbmn0 #PreventiveVsReactive #maintenancestrategy #preventivemaintenance #reactivemaintenance

Happy Maintenance Monday folks. Lets talk about internal maintenance solutions. As a dedicated technician service provider, we encounter tons of customers that turn to an internal solution for their MHE maintenance. Why? Does it save money? Does it give them more control over spend? Most customers I talk to that do internal service do so because they have been "burned" by outside service providers. They feel like they cannot trust an outside vendor to focus on the goals of the facility. They feel like the outside provider is always trying to make an equipment sale or put more rentals in the building when they aren't really needed. I've talked to many facilities that are doing internal service. You know what I find? Most don't have the internal support structure to track PM's/spend/parts needs in a way that puts them in a proactive maintenance model. They are STILL in a reactive state. They don't know what it costs the company when a tech leaves and they have to replace them. They don't actually know if they are saving money, and they don't have a good network to lean on when their technicians need training or run into issues they don't know how to fix. It feels safer to take MHE maintenance in house, but is it really?? Concentric National Maintenance does MHE maintenance different. We aren't there to sell equipment or put more rentals in. We are there to get your fleet running at optimal levels, to be a partner and advise on spend so you can make educated decisions on the future of your MHE fleet. We are your internal solution, without having to build all of the internal support structure needed to run an MHE service team properly. Doing things differently is scary, but only because you haven't found the right partner. We are that partner https://lnkd.in/gQsg8dFi

Valuable info for operations ranging from start-ups to stable and growing manufacturing environments.
Many preventive maintenance "best practices" are actually counterproductive: 1️⃣ All assets are critical 2️⃣ The more detailed your work orders are, the better 3️⃣ Measuring wrench time is essential for productivity 4️⃣ Technicians can double as planners or schedulers These ideas might sound good, but they actually diminish performance for many organizations that put them into practice. ⚙️Find out how to avoid the most common (and unrealized) preventive maintenance errors that could secretly undermine your efforts: https://bit.ly/4cVN8nh #preventativemaintenance #maintenance
