Did you know kids have been learning to code for almost six decades? 🤖 In 1963, BASIC was developed to make programming more accessible for beginners. Created by John Kemeny and Thomas Kurtz, BASIC allowed students to easily write programs without needing advanced knowledge in complicated languages. This opened the door to a new generation of programmers. Fast forward to 1967, Seymour Papert and his team introduced Logo, a programming language designed specifically for kids. With simple commands like "forward" and "turn," Logo made learning to code intuitive and fun. But what really set it apart was its integration with robotics. Kids could program real-world robots to move, draw, and complete tasks, fostering creativity and building problem-solving skills along the way. At WhalesBot, we’re proud to continue this tradition of making STEM education fun and accessible for all ages. Our robotics kits help kids dive into programming and robotics, igniting a love for technology and coding. And for our youngest learners, we offer Screen-Free Coding Kits designed for kids under 10! With these, children can explore coding concepts without needing a screen, making it a perfect hands-on learning experience for young minds. Who knew learning could be this fun and creative?🎉 #whalesbot #STEMeducation #RoboticsForKids #STEMeducationforkids #STEMToys #CodingToys #codingisfun #parenting #momlife #dadlife #funforkids #coding #stem #EducationalToys #LearningToys #StemActivitiesForKids #STEMForKids #STEMcamp #STEMkit
