NEWS: Cable Services Group Invests in New Cable Drum Trailers to Enhance UK Distribution As a leading distributor of specialist electrical equipment and components, we are pleased to announce a major advancement in our logistics capabilities with the addition of five new cable drum trailers now based at each of our five UK branches. This strategic investment has increased our capacity for single drum deliveries while streamlining the collection of empty drums from sites across the country, resulting in greater service efficiency and cost savings for our customers. We will use the trailers in conjunction with our existing fleet of Mercedes flatbeds, Sprinters and Hiab. This new facility will improve service delivery times and eliminate the need for external agencies or third-party logistics. By adopting this self-sufficient approach, we will maintain control over every stage of the delivery process, enhancing fuel efficiency and minimising delays for a more streamlined and environmentally conscious service. With this investment, Cable Services Group will continue to improve service standards and guarantee responsive, reliable and rapid deliveries to sites nationwide. Customers can now also benefit from a next-day delivery service, subject to stock availability and order specifications. Tips to help improve lifespan on your electric forklift batteries: - Never discharge below 20% DOD, this causes the battery to work harder below 20% which produces excess heat and can ultimately shorten its lifespan. - Always equalize charge your batteries every 2 weeks. This helps prevent sulphation in batteries. - Always check battery fluid levels every week. Overfilling can cause an overflow and loss of capacity.
