A few weeks ago, we were asked for historical information about David E. Bergenham, who worked for Smith Detective Agency in Dallas, Texas during the 1930s. They saved his badge that bears both his and the agency's name and this is his story! Before joining Smith Detective Agency, David served with the police department and was even involved in a shootout while on duty in Texas. His adventurous spirit didn't stop there; at the onset of WWII, he left to help the British fight against the Nazis. Check out the attached photo of the badge he proudly wore during his time with us!

Leader, Strategist, Raconteur | Growing the Next Generation One Leader at a Time | Professor of the Practice at the University of Kansas School of Business
The next book on the #reading list for January: The Commanders by Lloyd Clark. Rommel, Montgomery, and Patton were larger-than-life personalities and incredibly successful military #leaders. However, each of them suffered significant failures of their own doing. Was it ego? Was it hubris? Was it a lack of self-awareness or an inability to self-reflect? It's always fascinating to dig into the #why behind the decisions people make, to understand #how their decision-making processes lead them to make the choices they do, to explore #when cognitive biases influence our ability to see clearly when it matters most.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing,” is a quote that is debatably attributed to Edmund Burke.✨ 🇻🇮Always amazing when politicians trot out their war/military 🎖️ 🪖 record, in this case Mr. Navy SEAL, seems to at the least have questionable recall and at the worst is a liar without integrity, trust or honor, and conveniently forgets the creed of his military draped campaign. The oath about honor, integrity, unquestionable commitment and trust. His word means nothing in pursuit of hoodwinking the masses. 💪From the SPECIAL WARFARE COMBATANT-CRAFT CREWMEN (SWCC) creed: "I am a disciplined, confident and highly motivated warrior. My honor and integrity are beyond reproach, my commitment unquestioned and my word trusted." 💫 Always one political side claims their lies are misunderstandings while insisting that the lies of the other political side are unquestionable actions of heresy and no explanation is valid. When you accept a lack of integrity and honesty at the top of politics, can you be surprised by anything in pursuit of power? 🧐I'm not a Rep/Dem and as an independent I have voted for the best candidates from either party, not for the party, to be clear. Sadly, I don't think there are any viable candidates emerging in our political horizon. They are bought and paid for by the time they are in the highest levels of politics and lies are acceptable and necessary for their secrets to remain bought and paid for by powerful people, lobbies and PACs. 🤔Let's see how many people read my entire post and realize that I don't have any pro or con opinion specific to this candidate or any particular political party. 😉 ✨Burke did say something resembling the quote in his Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontents” (1770):🇺🇲 "When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle." Where are their positions on #Businessgrowth #Economicgrowth #Economicpolicy #Entrepreneurship and #Jobcreation buried under the platform of lies for political power?
