Did you know... Outside of being a superior corrosion-resistant coating, Halar also meets FM Standards 4910 and 4922? These two standards play a very important role in the safety of cleanrooms, which we mainly see used in the semiconductor industry. FM4910 and FM4922 are Approval Standards established to ensure that ducts used in cleanrooms and other industries are fire-resistant and corrosion-resistant, which is critical for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Approval Standard 4922 is specifically for fume and smoke exhaust ducts, while Approval Standard 4910 is an optional test for ducts intended for use in cleanrooms. The semiconductor industry is one of the many industries that rely on ducts made of metal, plastic, or composites to exhaust fumes generated by various processes or apparatus. Now is the time to bundle the valuable process knowledge of the still existing experienced generations of technologists, to support it with up-to-date measurement data and to summarize it in a guide - before we have to work it all out again. Based on this, a comprehensive standard will be created.
