🔍 Did You Know? When it comes to personal protective equipment, not all masks are created equal. Today, let's talk about something crucial yet often overlooked - Respirator Masks. Unlike regular surgical masks, respirator masks are designed to offer a more secure fit and enhanced filtration. Here's what sets them apart: Tight Seal: These masks form a tight seal against the face, drastically reducing the chances of airborne particles, including viruses and pollutants, entering your respiratory system. Advanced Filtration: Equipped with special filters, they trap a higher percentage of airborne particles, including microscopic ones, making them a top choice in environments with dust, fumes, or pathogens. Certified Protection: Quality respirator masks, like those from DTS Protect, meet rigorous safety standards, ensuring reliable protection in various settings - from industrial workplaces to daily urban life. As we continue to navigate health and safety challenges, understanding and choosing the right protective gear is paramount. A respirator mask might just be the upgrade you need for enhanced safety and peace of mind. Stay informed and stay safe!

Using Air Cleaning Devices with ASHRAE Standard 241, live at NAFA's Technical Seminar #NAFATECH in Irving, TX | Kathleen Owen and Michael Corbat are on the stage now! https://lnkd.in/gMt4npZ6 Everything helps in Standard 241! This new Standard “Control of Infectious Aerosols” is written to provide reduced risk during Pandemics (or IRMM). It requires users to provide specific amounts of clean or cleaned air per person in occupied spaces, then lets you choose from multiple options to meet their air needs. Once the air needed by your building or space and where it is needed are determined, you decide which solutions to use. You can bring in outdoor air (assumed clean of human pathogens), reduce occupancy, or use air filters, ultraviolet light (UV), reactive air cleaners (RAC), and other air cleaners to make your building safer. Or you can use some of each of the different options. This talk introduces Std 241 with emphasis on how air cleaners can be used and what requirements are made to allow them to be used. For those who are still confused about the implications of ASHRAE 241 standard, this #NAFA Technical Seminar has the answers. Portable air cleaners can be a viable option to meet the level of the equivalent outdoor air rate stipulated in the standard. Alternatively, building owners and facilities managers can optimize building operations by choosing to equip their #AHUs with high efficiency but low-pressure drop filters. For example, a patented DFS 2000IL system manufactured by HealthWay Family of Brands® Family of Brands® enables single-pass 97%+ pathogen removal and a higher than MERV 16-level filtration efficiency at a MERV 8-level pressure drop, unlocking energy saving on a building scale and futureproofing real estate assets. #greenbuilding, #singapore, #SLEB, #netzero, #enegryefficiency, #builtenvironment

Fire suppression systems and exit signs required in hospitals and clinics are essential for protecting lives and property. However, continuous disinfection systems for surfaces and air using modern and safe 222-nanometer technology, which should be mandated as a priority, play a crucial role in preventing infections and ensuring comprehensive protection for everyone in hospitals and clinics. If this step is not implemented now, then when?
