Ubaldo is a Fellow of our institute, and he brings exceptional talents of a research scientist deeply engaged in understanding complex systems. He brings these insights to help us understand how complex adaptive systems at a human scale can form from simple rules. Strategic Doing has opened the door to the science of collaboration. It’s a topic social scientists have avoided because of its complexity. But after 30 years of focused experimentation and development, we understand and can now teach a process of high performance collaboration. It comes down to following a set of 10 simple rules. But let’s pause for a moment and define precisely high performance collaboration. High performance collaboration is not cooperation, coordination, or teamwork. It is a rigorous process of recombinant innovation to generate solutions to wicked problems…the “we don’t know how” problems we are increasingly confronting. With leaders like Ubaldo guiding us, we are now moving these solutions into communities, organizations, regions, and countries across the globe.
We are pleased to announce the launch of our updated research group website, now available at a new domain. The website is still undergoing some minor updates. Founded 15 years ago at the University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez, our group focuses on theoretical soft matter and fluid mechanics. Our work involves the study of colloidal suspensions, crucial for various applications and present in nature, using conservation principles and statistical mechanics. Understanding these principles allows us to discover new applications. If you or someone you know is interested in our fields of study, we welcome you to reach out. Our group values collaboration and is always looking for new opportunities. For more information about our research and how to get involved, please visit our website. #research #colloids #fluidmechanics #softmatter #uprm https://lnkd.in/e7eHCakp
