As artificial intelligence reshapes the business landscape, industry experts gather this week to address a pressing question: Are Australian companies prepared for The Insight Age? I’ll host the Sydney Innovation Summit, sponsored by Intel Corporation, Natilik and Spectro Cloud, on Wednesday, July 31st. "Many CEOs are living in denial," says a large-enterprise CEO attendee from the Innovation Summit we hosted in San Francisco two weeks ago. "They think AI is just another tech trend. It's not. It's a fundamental shift in how business operates." The Summit will focus on four controversial assertions: 1. Current leadership models are obsolete in the face of AI-driven decision making. 2. Most companies' data strategies are inadequate for curating the inputs to deliver the AI-driven Insights. 3. Corporate cultures are siloed, disjointed and will actively resist the disruptive changes necessary for AI integration. 4. Traditional operating models are too slow for the rapid pivots required to turn Insight into impact quickly. The event will include keynotes from AI thought leaders and discussion with a group of leading tech analysts on emerging technology to implement now. Last week we closed out the 2024 Edge Summit with our NYC event. It was an unbelievable day filled with so many insights from customers, partners, and industry leaders. Some of my big takeaways: 1. The time for action is now. Business leaders are tired of hearing about AI — they want to see what it can actually do. We heard some great tangible examples of consequential AI from panelists and attendees.  2. AI agents are becoming more pervasive. Their impact will come from acting as the pilot, not just the co-pilot. This will fundamentally change the roles of marketers and merchandisers (and many others) to become more strategic and creative.  3. We have a shared responsibility to make this new age of technology an ethical and purposeful one. We won’t solve this overnight but need to be intentional about it now.  4. Every company is looking for an AI leader right now. And as my friend Tim O'Connor discussed on stage — if it’s not you, it will be someone else. Don’t get left behind. Thank you to Google Cloud and NVIDIA for bringing this event to life with us. I am pumped to see where this next year in #AI will take us and the consequential AI that Bloomreach will deliver for our customers and partners!
