Almost every day I come across this situation where someone will reach out to me and say that "I am AWS xyz certified and looking for AWS opportunities". e.g. I am AWS solution architect Associate certified or even solution architect professional certified and looking for AWS architect role. Unfortunately, none of these certifications prepare you for real job of aws architect. AWS project will typically start at assess phase where business case preparation along with application treatment will be defined acorss R Lanes. In next phase (build phase), you will do landing-zone setup and after pilot migration, you do lots of lift and shift and app modernization. Again, if you are only certified person, these things will look unfamiliar to you. Isn't it? Considering this, my suggestion is to first check the JD of AWS architect, talk to people who are actually doing AWS architect job and see what are the gaps in your skills and fill those. Learn the big picture from various sources and only after being ready, look for opportunities. Same is applicable for other roles like- Developer, DevOps, AWS admin etc. Do you agree with me? #awscertified #awscertification #awsjobs
