This week, we had the pleasure of catching up with Scott, a dedicated member of our warehouse team, who shared some inspiring insights into the eco-friendly initiatives taking place behind the scenes. Our warehouse is a hive of activity focused on sustainability. For instance, we creatively repurpose cardboard into void filler for parcels, ensuring nothing goes to waste. Additionally, we compact clear plastic into 500kg bales, which are sent off to be recycled into new products like bottles and plastic packaging. Cardboard gets the same treatment, with 500kg bales being transformed into various corrugated cardboard products. Today is World Earth Day! It's a timely reminder that we all have a shared responsibility for the health of our planet. Here at Patient Choice Direct we use 100% recycled bags for mailing small orders. These also help to reduce our carbon footprint, as using the right-sized packaging for our orders ensures more parcels can fit into the delivery vehicle in one journey. We reuse cardboard boxes for larger orders. We've also recently introduced more recycling bins in our office to encourage staff to separate and recycle their food and mixed, dry recycling (plastics, glass and metal) as much as possible.
