I am thrilled to share the launch of my new business venture with Edwin Stone; Snapology - Stamford, CT is a new learning concept that combines play with education for children ages 4-14. We provide a fun, interactive environment for students to learn science, technology, engineering, art, math, and robotics. Using LEGO® bricks and other tools, we design and host inclusive after-school enrichment programs, summer camps, workshops, birthday parties, scouting events, and field trips. Thank you Mayor Caroline Simmons, Stamford Chamber of Commerce, Heather Cavanagh, Todd Lindvall and Leah Kagan for a very warm welcome. Born in Atlanta but raised in the Netherlands, I'm now thrilled to call Stamford home. I'm a Dutch medical doctor with a profound passion for working with children and a strong background in science. At Snapology, our ELL students light up when they realize they can speak to our Instructor, Maria in Spanish. Maria Herrera is a native Spanish language speaker born and raised in Venezuela, who now resides here in Stamford. She is a third-year student at the University of Connecticut pursuing Accounting and Finance, with additional interests in engineering and teaching! She looks forward to teaching our students about key principles of the scientific method and nurturing their curiosity for the variety of topics taught at Snapology.
