Calling all Rat Terriers! Let's Celebrate Our Pawsome Contributions! You might not see us headlining research papers, but us Rat Terriers have been quietly making a big impact on science and society for centuries! From our legendary vermin-busting skills keeping homes and farms safe to our unwavering loyalty and companionship, we've always played a vital role in human lives. But did you know some brilliant Rat Terriers have even made their mark in the scientific world? Take me for example! During my PhD in Mathematics, I delved into the fascinating world of linear regression models to optimize treat consumption for canine well-being. This research not only helped pups like me get the most out of our training treats, but it also contributed to the advancement of positive reinforcement techniques - a win-win for all dogs! So next time you see a Rat Terrier, don't just see a cute face (though we admit, we are pretty darn cute!). See a loyal companion, a talented problem-solver, and a potential scientific trailblazer! #RatTerrierPower #SciencePups #PositivePaws P.S. Share your stories of how your Rat Terrier has made a difference in the comments below! Let's celebrate all the amazing things our breed brings to the world!

The 'Higgs Field' has been known as the "Aether", ether, since 1865 when James Clerk Maxwell explained the Ether is what carries electro-magnetic waves of Kinetic Energy. The Higgs Boson was a proposal related to 'Massive' particles first forming after the "Big Bang" and then 'picking up the Higgs Boson' so the particles would become "Massive". The idea was not really related to the Higgs field at the time. Clearly the Ether exists... but is it the 'Higgs field' that allows for the transmission of Electro-Magnetic energy in tiny packets known now as Photons as Maxwell discovered? "Mass'Querade" needs no Higgs Boson to explain that the Ether can act as a medium to transmit waves like air or water and Energy equal to the 'mass' of particles replaces the Higgs Boson . Ether can be condensed in the direction of the center of 'Gravitational Objects' while leaving the far reaches of the field of Ether slightly stretched forming a Gravitational Field around all "Massive" objects. At the subatomic level, "Massless Blackholes" form inside every particle as densified 'Points of Gravity' (No Higgs) around which Photons can lock into orbits the size of the particles being formed. massquerade.com Click for "The Movie".
The discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012 was the culmination of decades of work. In this video, Fermilab’s Dr. Don gives us a taste of the sprint to discovery. https://lnkd.in/gjmUbrqj

Raccoons, skunks and coyotes are all members of the mammalian order of carnivora, a clade of animals that have been underrepresented in studies of animal cognition, despite their impressive adaptation to urban environments. Director of the Animal Behavior & Cognition Lab at The University of British Columbia, Dr Sarah Benson-Amram, has focused on these “cosmopolitan carnivora” throughout her career, and joins host Kensy Cooperrider on the Many Minds podcast to discuss: ➡️ The traits that have allowed these species to thrive in dynamic, daunting urban spaces. ➡️ The evolution of intelligence and how urban adapter species might shed light on what is known as the cognitive buffer hypothesis. ➡️ How we might find ways to smooth human-wildlife interactions. 🎧 https://lnkd.in/eBv5avsm

Creates high-functioning Exec Teams: Wrangles Power and Politics, Reviews Structure and Process, Grows Generative Mindsets, and Coaches on Functional Behaviours for Organisational Outcomes
Wow. Such a beautiful piece of writing. A weekend mind-strething gift 🎁 for you all! I am shifted and altered by David Waltner-Toews' repositioning of the meaning of who we are and why we are here. I am challenged, becoming aware of my own unconscious way of thinking and acting in the world as object/separate vs relationship/ system. "Together, we are searching for ways to preserve our collective memories beyond the extinction of our cobbled-together bodies and species..." https://lnkd.in/gHCFvArX
