FUSELAGE SKIN✈️ The fuselage skin in the image is the outer shell of the aircraft, covering the hoop frames and stringers to form a semi-monocoque structure . It helps distribute aerodynamic loads, withstand cabin pressurization, and maintain the aircraft's shape. The hoop frames provide circular reinforcement, while stringers run longitudinally to add rigidity. Lightening holes reduce weight without compromising strength, and the floor frames support the cabin structure, transferring loads to the fuselage skin. Traditionally made from aluminum alloys for strength and light weight, modern aircraft also use composites for better fuel efficiency and durability. #aircraft #aircraftfuselage #aircraftframe #aviation #AviationStudies #aviationknowledge #SasidharanMurugan #Itzmemsd

A flap is a high-lift device used to reduce the stalling speed of an aircraft wing at a given weight. Flaps increase the camber, and sometimes the area, of your wing. When you increase the camber of your wing, you also increase the amount of lift your wing. The Horten 229 (Ho 229), designed by the Horten brothers in 1944, stands as a revolutionary aircraft in aviation history, pushing the boundaries of both aerodynamics and stealth technology. As the first jet-powered flying wing, it incorporated advanced engineering techniques that were decades ahead of its time. Key Specifications: Powerplant: 2x Junkers Jumo 004B turbojet engines (producing 1,980 lbf of thrust each) Max Speed: Approximately 977 km/h (607 mph) Range: Around 1,000 km (620 miles) Ceiling: 16,000 meters (52,500 ft) Wingspan: 16.8 meters (55 ft) Length: 7.47 meters (24.5 ft) Empty Weight: 4,600 kg (10,140 lbs) Armament: Designed to carry 2x 30mm MK 108 cannons and up to 1,000 kg (2,200 lbs) of bombs The Ho 229’s flying wing design aimed to minimize aerodynamic drag and radar signature—an early form of stealth. Constructed using wood and carbon-based materials, it was one of the first to integrate composite materials in its airframe, a key innovation for weight reduction and structural integrity. The absence of vertical control surfaces, such as tails and rudders, was a design that directly influenced modern stealth aircraft, including the Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit bomber. Though it never saw full production, the Horten 229’s legacy lives on in modern aerospace engineering, illustrating the power of visionary design. #AerospaceEngineering #AviationHistory #FlyingWing #JetTechnology #StealthInnovation #AircraftDesign

For almost a century, armor was designed as a shield against penetrators that were going to hit it on the frontal quarter from little or no elevation. Certain scenarios or effectors negate this premise, especially close quarter battle but also terrain that can offer masking capabilities and thus let the attacker fire from the sides or behind. Then first top-attack munitions and now cheap drones negate this disposition. Instead of hitting in the most convenient place for the defender, the weakest points and angles are sought for and leveraged. The very armor formula for every conceived armored vehicle is becoming less and less valid. And the problem compounds because during the last 25 years, vehicles have become bigger and taller as they were more and more protected against IEDs. This is not necessarily the end of armor as we knew it. It is going to evolve dramatically, using more active elements in layers and renouncing part of the static and passive ones. But the vehicles conceived in the past, even more so the recent ones, are in big trouble.

This is 'The Ancient Wing' ------------------------------------------ It's is a glider, without a powerplant, categorising it as "Heavier than air and Non Mechanically driven Aircraft" - Focusing on the control surfaces, The controls are conventional: - A stick for AILERONS and ELEVATOR and RUDDER pedals. The aircraft uses FLAPS for glidepath control, which function as SPOILERS (airbrakes) when set to 45-70 degrees. RIGGING --------------- The individual components complete with the light jig system are light in weight. The wings and tailplanes are fitted to the fuselage using just six ball locking pins. The flight controls connect to the control surfaces automatically. Winglets and Propeller are fitted with spring loaded latches. - The Archaeopteryx.

LM Guide Model SR are used in the seat sliding mechanism of small aircraft. Because the floors in aircraft are generally made from sheet metal, measuring errors relating to mounting sections are common, and mounting can be a lengthy process. Because Model SR have excellent error absorbing capabilities, they can be mounted directly on the floor of aircraft, reducing the work required for assembly. In addition, THK's Miniature LM Guide Model RSR move smoothly and without play but are compact enough to use in seat footrests.
