What rare approach did Jaguar Land Rover take to revive sales? 🚨 Here is a small dive into JLR’s case study. Tata Motors bought Land Rover and Jaguar from Ford to make the current Jaguar Land Rover in 2013. Soon in 2019, the company crashed with a loss of around $4.2 billion. Do you know 80% of the Rolls Royce is actually BMW? Yup. A BMW 750 makes it to about 80% of the Rolls Royce. Most people don't even know that BMW owns Rolls Royce. That means the Rolls Royce Ghost that you spend about $600K is 80% of the company that owns it by BMW which is barely $100K. If you go inside Rolls Royce part by part inside you can see BMW on almost all the parts. If you want to talk about the genius of Branding and Marketing, there is nothing greater. The fact that you know it but still refuse to have BMW instead of a Rolls Royce simply because it has a "RR" on it, says a lot about how a Luxury brand is perceived and practiced. Recent review from our client with the Porsch Taycan. I don't normally leave many reviews but felt compelled to on this occasion. I recently had my new Porsche Taycan ceramic coated at the Porsche dealership and expected them to do a fantastic job, sadly I was mistaken. By pure luck, I discovered patches on the paintwork where the product had not been applied properly. Unfortunately, that vehicle was damaged at the Luton Airport car park fire so I ordered a new one which was recently delivered. I had lost all confidence with Porsche so I decided to look locally and MKprodetail was recommended by a friend. From my initial phone call I felt that these people had a passion for what they do. I met with Rachel and Darren at their premises and was given a tour of the establishment and each product was explained but no hard sell. I decided on the System X plus interior. Communications were excellent prior to the appointment. My next point highlights why it is prudent to chose a family run business that actually cares and will accommodate unforeseen problems. We had arranged a certain day but due to delivery issues at Porsche, that date kept being pushed back and I needed the vehicle completed by a certain date. Rachel, couldn't have been more helpful and moved other customers (with their consent of course) to alternative dates. The vehicle was left with them and bearing in mind, its a brand new vehicle I wasn't expecting a massive transformation but boy was I wrong. On arrival two days later I was given the unveil and my mouth dropped. The level of shine was remarkable. The vehicle looked like a million dollars, my money had been well spent. I have forgotten their sons name but a big shout out to him as well. Jaguar Land Rover UK shambolick customer support…. Commercial vehicle breaks down, really good response to this stage of getting the vehicle to the garage. Then to be told 5-6wks for the vehicle to be looked at (not to be fixed, looked at)! Courtesy vehicle is the smallest in your range, not fit for purpose for commercial use and limiting my business due to it being so small. Not to mention the in-car microphone not working meaning I can’t take or receive calls when driving (minimum 15hrs/wk) also limiting my business. Constantly being told (every day) that there are not alternative vehicles available with the space available that I need to operate my business. 🤦♂️ nor the offer to expedite the repair of my vehicle to keep me happy 🤔 I get there are ways around these problems but I pay a premium for my vehicle along with the extended warranty, this level of customer service is not acceptable and puts me off purchasing another vehicle which I should be doing this year! #jaguarlandrover #customerservice
