Excellent, excellent, excellent, Andrew Bellavia! Bluetooth SIG’s #Auracast is here, and it works. Chuck Sabin and the #Auracast team and its partners, including ReSound, continue to understand and address users’ needs smartly. For example, hearing aids are designed to enable communication for the user, especially for me, as I heavily depend on these. Communication clarity is at the core. The other hearing aid features are important too, yet imagine the benefit of clearer listening and hearing in environments that are traditionally challenging, #Auracast, #resound, and its partners continue to fill a void and bring smiles to people’s faces, at least mine 😊!

Take a peek behind the scenes at one of our pivotal projects: installing a large area hearing loop system at DEWA Inner Space. This system is a game-changer in assistive technology, designed to enhance the experience for the hearing-impaired. By directly transmitting audio signals to hearing aids, it allows individuals to participate more fully in public and large space interactions. Such technologies are vital in our mission to create environments that are inclusive and accessible to everyone. At DASS Solutions, we are committed to breaking down barriers and ensuring that every space is equipped to meet the needs of all visitors. Stay tuned for more updates on how we continue to make accessibility a standard, not an exception. Let's make inclusivity the norm. 👂 #HearingLoop #AssistiveTechnology #InclusiveDesign #AccessibilityMatters #DASSolutions #InnovationForAll #DEWA #HearingImpaired #AccessibleSpaces #TechnologyForInclusion #BreakingBarriers

At our Tech Blitz event, individuals from the blind, DeafBlind, and low vision communities came together for a day of exploration and connection. Attendees had the opportunity to test out and learn about the latest assistive technologies from many national vendors. One of our main sponsors was Bellman & Symfon, a company that makes devices to help those who are hard of hearing, deaf, and DeafBlind. They offer a wide range of alert products. These types of alerting systems are particularly useful for DeafBlind individuals, as they enhance communication, safety, and overall well-being. In this video, Peter, the founder and owner of Bellman & Symfon, talks to our team alongside an ASL interpreter. Bellman & Symfon offers products like: Vibrating Alarm Clocks: Strong vibrations and loud alarms for timely wakeups. Alerting Systems: Vibrations and flashing lights for important sounds like doorbells, phone calls, and smoke alarms Personal Amplifiers: Clearer sound for better conversations. These devices offer DeafBlind individuals greater independence and confidence in navigating daily activities safely and efficiently. Bellman & Symfon's commitment to developing innovative solutions underscores the vital role of technology in ensuring accessibility for all. Tech Inclusivity: Bridging Gaps for the Hearing Impaired Participating in tech meetings has been helpful and enjoyable for me, but one of my friends isn't able to benefit as I do due to issues with their hearing. In order to ensure that my friend can also enjoy tech meetings, I enrolled myself in an American Sign Language (ASL) diploma course. This way, I can assist not only my friend but also others facing similar challenges, enabling them to fully engage in meetings. Integrating ASL into tech meetings will bridge gaps for the hearing impaired Below are American Sign languange (ASL) alphabets

Our ears are a marvel of complex engineering, finely tuned to capture and process sounds. Hearing is one of the most important senses we have. Our world revolves around the sounds that connect us with every single moment in our life. When it doesn’t work properly, our world becomes disconnected. Modern methods of improving the hearing include not just the technology and devices but auditory training as well. Modern technology has a vast range of cosmetic and digital features that work like a super cool personal micro-computer. Scientific procedures to select and choose technology have also improved in the last few years. There are both medically prescribed and over-the-counter hearing technology options available today. The internet has widened the access by provision of remote care. Today, I can sit in my little office in London to program hearing devices for someone sitting half a world away from me, via internet. Let's change the conversation this World Hearing Day! Together, we can foster a mindset of inclusivity and support around the hearing challenges. Let's listen, understand, and embrace the power of sound. #WorldHearingDay #HearingMatters #BreakTheStigma" https://lnkd.in/e79Ntrw8

Are audiologists involved in the innovation of hearing technology and assistive listening devices? Or do we just follow trends set by manufacturers of such? Do we understand which features of these devices to use to improve patient listening outcomes and when to use them? Are we able to link the function of such features to presenting patients hearing problems or the degree/configuration of individual patient hearing losses and their listening needs? I am curious to hear your opinions, let's have a conversation. #audpeeps #audiologists #hearingtechnology #hearingsolutions #hearinghealthcare #patientoutcomes #hearingintervention #listeningneeds
