🌳 Happy Tu Bshvat- likely THE only one of the Jewish Holidays that promotes healthy food choices as its celebration! Below is a simple yet absolutely refreshing strawberry soup. The perfect way to take your fruit parties up a notch (or two😉) 🍓🌿🥄🍹 STRAWBELICIOUS SOUP: Ingredients: 1 bag of Bgan Frozen strawberries 1/2 cup of Bgan strawberry jam 1 cup of water 1/4 cup of sugar (adjust to taste) 1/2 cup of orange juice 1 teaspoon of lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional) Instructions: Thaw the BGAN Frozen strawberries: Remove the strawberries from the freezer and let them thaw at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes, or you can also microwave them for a few seconds until they are slightly softened. Blend the strawberries: Place the thawed strawberries, BGAN strawberry jam, water, and sugar into a blender or food processor. Blend until you have a smooth puree. Add citrus flavors: Pour the pureed mixture into a large bowl and add the orange juice, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Stir to combine. Chill the soup: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the soup for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and for it to become nicely chilled. Serve: Before serving, give the strawberry soup a good stir to make sure everything is well mixed. Pour it into individual serving bowls or glasses. You can garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Infused Water: A Refreshing Summer Routine 🍹 As the temperature rises and summer approaches, staying hydrated becomes more crucial than ever. One way I love to keep hydrated while also enjoying a burst of flavor is by incorporating infused water into my daily routine. Here's how I do it: Choose Your Ingredients: I start by selecting fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Some of my favorites include sliced cucumbers, strawberries, mint leaves, and lemon wedges. Not only do these ingredients add flavor, but they also provide essential vitamins and minerals. Prepare Your Infusion: I fill a pitcher with filtered water and add my chosen ingredients. For optimal flavor, I recommend letting the water infuse in the refrigerator for at least a few hours or overnight. This allows the flavors to fully meld together, resulting in a delicious and refreshing beverage. Stay Hydrated Throughout the Day: I make it a point to keep a bottle of infused water with me wherever I go. Whether I'm at my desk, running errands, or enjoying time outdoors, having infused water on hand reminds me to stay hydrated throughout the day. Experiment with Different Combinations: One of the joys of infused water is the endless variety of flavor combinations you can create. Don't be afraid to experiment with different fruits, herbs, and even spices to discover your perfect blend. I’m sharing a recipe below for your consideration – Spinach & Strawberry Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette 🍃 🍓 🍃 Bon appétit! Ingredients (organic whenever possible): 4 cups baby spinach, rinsed and dried 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced (with stems removed) 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped and lightly toasted (optional) For the vinaigrette: 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil 1 teaspoon honey (local, raw, unfiltered is optimal) Salt and pepper to taste Instructions: In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and honey until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside. In a large salad bowl, combine spinach, strawberries, and feta. If using, add toasted walnuts for added crunch. Drizzle the balsamic vinaigrette over the salad just before serving. Toss gently to ensure all ingredients are evenly coated with dressing.
