Found this quite funny. I remember applying for a Forklift Operator role and recieved a phone call the next day for a quick phone interview. At the end of the interview, the consultant asked “do you have any questions?” to which I replied “Yes! What’s the main duties of the role please, other than obviously operating of Forklift” .. there was a silent pause, followed by afew “umm” and “aahh” … and then the sudden “It’s just your normal warehouse duties. It’s simple.” I don’t know about you guys but warehouse duties aren’t as “simple” as people may think. Operating a forklift in a narrow aisle alongside other forklift operators AND pickers, isn’t “as simple” as you may think. Constantly picking and stacking pallets 7.5hrs a day, 5-6x a week while keeping above KPI’s isn’t “as simple” as you may think. Managing the whole operations ensuring your ass doesn’t get chewed up by your HOD isn’t “as simple” as you may think. I love that NewWay Solutions have worked the floors and managed operations over the course of 15yrs, which gives us an in-depth understanding and firsthand experience on all things Supply Chain and Logistics. Our team know what we’re hiring for in the niche that we’re in and we all understand that there is nothing “simple” in Logistics. “Logistics is very simple” - said someone with zero experience! 😅 Anyway, Happy Monday 🙂

Recently, I have been thinking about all the jobs I have had over the years. Here is my list of jobs: Jobs I had up until I graduated from High School: 1. General Laborer for a Property Management Company. 2. Cartboy at Menards 3. Salad Bar Stocker at Marc's Big Boy Army Jobs: 4. Rifleman 5. M203 Gunner 6. Dragon Gunner 7. Team Leader 8. OPFOR Squad Leader 9. Air Assault Instructor 10. Schools NCO 11. Night Battle NCO 12. Iraqi Police Logistics Liaison Officer 13. Company Executive Officer 14. SPO Transportation Officer 15. Army Logistics Liaison Officer to the Marines 16. Transportation Company Commander 17. Forward Support Company Commander 18. Recruiting Company Commander Jobs I had during my short break in service 1998-1999: 19. Apartment Maintenance Manager 20. Car Salesmen 21. Assistant to the CEO of a Steel Company 22. Material Expeditor for Steel Company 23. Warehouse Manager for Steel Company Jobs I've had since retiring at the end of 2014: 24. Driving for Uber/Lyft 25. Forklift Battery and Charger Salesman 26. Wedding/Portrait Photographer 27. Shipping & Receiving Supervisor for a Tier 2 automotive supplier 28. Store Manager for Custom Wheel Store 29. Logistics Manager for CBD Cream Company 30. On the positive side, I have excelled at all of these jobs, which shows I am teachable. I enjoy learning new things and when I do, I am good at them. On the negative side, employers are always concerned about whether or not I am going to stick with a job. This negative I don't understand considering, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Americans stays at one job on average for 4.1 years. Now I realize that my job count shows that I am well above that average, since some of my jobs I was at for less than a year, but I did stay in the military for 23 years. I am capable of being loyal to an employer. I just haven't found one, outside the Army, that can keep my interest and challenge me enough to make me A. want to go there every day and B. pays me what I am worth for the work I am performing. Can any of my older friends relate?

We love reading our 5 ⭐ Reviews from our customers. "Ordered burnhole rollers for site job. Wrong rollers were received. However, called the office and spoke to Jon D. later in the day where he sent out the correct order and collected the wrong order the next day. Customer service is too drawer. You can buy these items from multiple different suppliers, however what makes the difference is how the after sale customer service is dealt with. And in my opinion this was spot on. Well done Jon! 👏 To make a review on your experiance with us click 👉 https://loom.ly/EUnydLU #TeamEffort #CustomerServiceAtItsBest #TheEndGame #GreatFeedBack
