Came across this interesting website during a discussion with Jehan Manekshaw and has got a new perspective of using theatre as a tool for enhancing the instructional design and pedagogical or androgogical approaches for teaching learning process. In today's dynamic educational landscape, it is crucial for faculty to continuously enhance their skills in content creation, presentation, and pedagogy. Learning theatre techniques can significantly contribute to this development. Theatre training equips educators with the ability to create engaging and compelling content, present information in an impactful manner, and adapt their teaching methods to be more interactive and dynamic. This is especially important for engaging Gen Z students, who are accustomed to consuming attractive and effective content on social media. This week has truly been a perfect example of what "spinning loads of plates" looks like a producer. This week I've: - Contacted venues to confirm we've got funding to stage two new works across Scotland - Arranged meetings with artists to get their new projects off the ground - Met with programmers to discuss opportunities for us to collaborate on our current slate of work on an international platform - Drafted three funding applications - Connected with individuals interested in investing in a piece of new writing that will hopefully ( 🤞 ) go to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year - Spent a day coaching a multidisciplinary artist to identify management systems that could support them keep on top of their workload to the benefit of their overall wellbeing And that's just the headlines! Day! *Drum rolllllllllllll* My piano-teaching website has just been launched! 🎉🎉🎉borissinpiano.ca Just less than a month ago, I would not have even imagined setting up my own website for my piano-teaching business. And here I am, with all contents set up, and announcing to the world that I am ready! As a person with an ARCT (Associate Diploma) in Piano Performance, as well as a Master of Education, I am very well-equipped when it comes to teaching piano. I incorporate my specialized knowledge with the positive elements of more than 10 sets of curricula to create my own curriculum that has the flexibility to cater to each individual learner's needs and goals. The curriculum also includes more than 1000 pieces designed to bring any piano learners from absolute beginner to mastery 🙌 I am offering in-person lessons where I travel to you, and ONLINE 1-on-1 lessons. For those of you who might be uncertain about online lessons, allow me to tell you how it works. In my online lessons, you will see a camera showing me, the piano, and my hands, as well as a second camera from directly above the piano so that you see my hands more clearly. I will also be screensharing the piano score, so you are seeing exactly what you would in an in-person lesson. To demonstrate certain techniques, I will be using the camera directly above the piano to zoom in on my hands.
