One important question brands should be asking their key retail partners regularly is: What can we do better to grow alongside you? This open-ended question helps uncover insights about the retailer’s growth strategy and what they see as key drivers for success. Understanding their blueprint for growth will help define yours. Some retailers will have clear and actionable answers here. Others won’t—but there are questions you can ask to get some of that insight, like: • What are the brands that are performing well doing differently? • What’s considered a top-tier conversion rate? How do the best performers achieve it? • How can we improve our site ranking or influence the algorithm to gain more visibility? • What marketing strategies or promotions are most effective right now? • What’s the target ROAS for paid activities? Online, success boils down to 1) driving awareness and 2) boosting conversion. By asking the right questions, you’ll better understand how to maximize your impact in line with the retailer’s approach to growth—and in turn, create a more successful partnership 🙌
