Interventional Radiology at UKGM MARBURG Osteoid Osteoma is a quite rare but painful condition. Intervetional Radiology offers ideal treatment options such as percutaneous radiofrequency ablation. In Germany it still takes more than 15 months after the onset of symptoms to diagnose and treat Osteoid Osteoma. This means 15 months of unnecessary pain and discomfort for our patients. Interventional Radiology UKGM MARBURG We have so many fancy tools in interventional radiology - however - there are old and effective techniques that should not be forgotten. One of these techniques is lumbar sympathicolysis. Today I saw a really comorbid lady with Rutherford stage IV PAD for the 1 week f/u after sympathicolysis. She was smiling at me for taking away the pain (and keeping her leg). Do not forget to think about the simple techniques - fancy and expensive is not always the best way for a given patient. #interventionalradiolgy, #IRAD, #PAD
