Design is more than just aesthetics; it’s about creating experiences that resonate. When Caryn Paradis approached us to redesign her website, our goal was to capture the essence of her work—intentional, welcoming, and transformative. Caryn’s interiors, like the historic Brushmill by the Waterfall, are rich with texture, warmth, and detail, and her website needed to convey that same atmosphere. By expanding her brand’s color palette, integrating refined typography, and focusing on breathing room and white space, we crafted a digital experience that mirrors the inviting nature of her interiors. The result is a site that doesn’t just showcase Caryn’s work but makes you feel like you’ve stepped into one of her beautifully designed spaces. This collaboration highlights the power of aligning digital strategy with design vision.

Oxygen, Just Like the Air I Breathe Join me as I share two reels capturing nature-inspired finishing touches for the entryway ahead of our professional photoshoots. While these reels don’t reveal everything (because who doesn’t love a good surprise?), they showcase some of the most meaningful pieces in the design. In every project, I make it a priority to incorporate children’s artwork or other personal objects whenever possible. Homes are not just spaces for adults, after all—children are growing up here too, and I want them to feel just as much a part of the design as anyone else. My goal is for every member of the family to walk through the door and feel instantly seen, valued, and at home. These collected artworks, created by the children over time, not only turned out to be the perfect nature-inspired decor but also helped me achieve my signature design style: blending splashes of color with natural materials to infuse extra personality and vibrancy into the space. These pieces are truly a breath of fresh air. From the moment I saw them, they captivated me. They also harmonize beautifully with our entryway gallery wall, which features images of all the trees lining the children’s route to the bus stop. For me, these handmade treasures hold far more value than any expensive artwork bought online. This is the heart of personalized design—something I strive to bring to every project I work on. Simple melodies, woven with meaning, creating spaces that breathe life into a home. #FinishingTouches #NatureInspiredArtwork #EntrywayDesign #NatureInspiredHomeDesigner Design @ninashomedesign . . #ninashomedesign #instascrollstoppingdesign #architexture4life #trendsettingismyjam #westchesterny #greenwichct #connecticutliving #newyorkfamily #natureinspireddesign #natureinspiredhome #multigenerationalhome #residentialinteriordesign #inspotoyourhome #renovationspecialists #newbuildhomes #elledecor #interiorarchitecture #designwithpurpose #luxuryinteriordesign #livableluxury #prettylittleinteriors #connecticuthome #newyorkinteriordesigner #newbuilds #connecticutinteriordesign #westchesternymoms

Kicking off another project with a little inspiration 🌟 In any new website design project , I always start with an in-depth inspiration session. This interior designer has a pared down, crisp and elegant style. To capture the essence of their design aesthetic, I created some custom mood boards to serve as the foundation for our project. These mood boards blend neutral tones, natural materials like wood and stone, and sleek modern furnishings. I'm also playing with some elegant font styles... I find this initial inspiration phase to be absolutely crucial. It allows me to deeply understand the client's preferences and a clear creative direction helps us both feel aligned before diving into the website design. What are some of your favourite ways to kick off a new project and get the creative juices flowing? 🤩 #CreativeProcess #InteriorDesign #MoodBoards #Inspiration

✨ The Power of Colour & Playfulness in Design ✨ While on holiday, I stumbled across this incredible sculpture—it immediately caught my eye! The bold, joyful mix of colours and the way they interact with the space around them got me thinking (as all good design does!). Colour has such a powerful impact on how we experience a space. It can energize, soothe, or even surprise us. Yet, so often in interior design, people shy away from using colour, worried it will feel overwhelming or too bold. But colour doesn’t have to be intimidating—when used thoughtfully, it can bring harmony, personality, and a sense of joy to a space. What I love most is how colour plays with light and surroundings—the same shade can feel completely different depending on the time of day, the materials around it, or even the way we emotionally connect with it. That’s what makes working with colour so exciting—it’s never just about picking a shade, but about creating an atmosphere. So, what’s your relationship with colour? Do you embrace it, or do you find yourself playing it safe with neutrals? I’d love to hear your thoughts! #InteriorDesign #ColourInDesign #EffortlessLiving #JoyfulSpaces #DesignInspiration

🖤✨ The Timeless Elegance of Black and White Graphics ✨🖤 In a world awash with color, there's something profoundly captivating about black and white graphics. These striking visuals don’t just adhere to a simple palette—they transcend it, offering a timeless elegance and depth that colors alone can't always achieve. Black and white graphics possess a unique ability to create powerful contrasts and emphasize form and texture. The interplay of light and shadow draws the eye in, crafting a visual narrative that is both bold and subtle. In interior spaces, this classic duo can transform environments, creating a serene yet dynamic atmosphere. Incorporating black and white graphics into your interior design can: 1. Create a Strong Visual Impact: The stark contrast captures attention and adds a dramatic flair, making spaces feel more sophisticated and intentional. 2. Enhance Focus and Clarity: By stripping away color, these graphics highlight essential shapes and patterns, improving focus and providing a clearer visual message. 3. Complement Any Style: From modern minimalist to vintage chic, black and white graphics seamlessly blend with various design aesthetics, offering versatility without compromising on style. 4. Invoke Timelessness: Unlike fleeting color trends, black and white is eternally stylish, ensuring that your space remains relevant and elegant through the years. Whether through striking art pieces, subtle patterns, or bold statements, black and white graphics offer a refined simplicity that can elevate the essence of any interior. Embrace the beauty of contrast and let your spaces speak through the power of monochrome. 🖤🤍 #InteriorDesign #BlackAndWhite #GraphicDesign #TimelessElegance #DesignInspiration

M O O D B O A R D M O M E N T S As with nearly all interior designers, one of our most used tools for igniting creativity, bringing visions to life and to give the client a feel of our thoughts, is the moodboard. It gives me the opportunity to gather inspiration from everywhere – magazines, Pinterest boards, nature walks – anything that speaks to the design vision. It is also where I plan the project's theme and colour palette. I play with different textures, materials and layers to add depth and interest. From luxurious fabrics to rustic wood accents, each element adds its own unique touch. Once finished and approved by the client, my moodboard becomes the guide steering the design journey until all the details are in place. Crafting a moodboard is more than just selecting pretty pictures – it's about curating a story, capturing emotions and styling unique spaces to the highest quality. #InteriorDesign #HomeStaging #Property #RealEstate #PropertyExpert #PropertyValue #Bournemouth

🛋️ Design Tip: Keep Your Spaces Timeless by Mixing Styles! 🛋️ Are you looking to create a space that feels modern and won't quickly go out of style? Mixing different design styles within a single scene can be your secret weapon! By blending elements from various styles—think modern minimalism with touches of vintage charm or industrial with a splash of boho—you create a layered, dynamic look that evolves gracefully over time. This approach not only brings unique character and depth to your interiors but also ensures that your space remains fresh and adaptable to changing trends. Here's how you can do it: Start with a Base Style: Choose a dominant style that suits your personality and the function of the room. Incorporate Accent Pieces: Add furniture or decor items from different styles to create contrast and interest. Balance is Key: Ensure a harmonious mix by balancing colors, textures, and proportions. Personal Touches: Include items that reflect your personal taste and experiences to make the space truly yours.
