🏞️ Designing a space that connects with nature and community 🏞️ Creative studio Raw Clay recently crafted the identity and interiors for Soulspace, bringing the vision of an innovative new co-working concept nestled along the River Wey in Guildford, to life. Inspired by the natural surroundings, the team used analogue methods like continuous lines and organic materials to create a brand identity that is harmonious with the environment. The connection to the river influenced every detail, from the natural materials – stone, clay, and wood – to a brand pattern inspired by collaged rock shapes, cut from old wildlife magazines. 🌿 As Creative Director Bekki Stovell explains, the goal was to give members "a deep sense of belonging within their work environment, and the nature that surrounds it." With the rebirth of workspace design in recent years, how do you think modern workspaces can be designed to better foster wellbeing and boost productivity? 💭 Want to discover more unique design projects? Have you ever heard of the concept of Biophilia? According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, it is defined as a hypothetical human tendency to interact or be closely associated with other forms of life in nature. Much of the Biophilic interior design principles focus on bringing the outdoors indoors, and by incorporating them into the workplace, this can do wonders for your working environment. The benefits include but are not limited to: 1. Increased productivity 2. Heightened creativity 3. Enhanced employee well-being. So, why not add a few pot plants around the office? Creating outdoor areas that employees can utilize and incorporate earthy tones and textures are also ways to benefit from this interior design principle. #Biophilia #BiophilicDesign #WorkplaceWellness #OfficeDesign #InteriorDesign #Productivity #Creativity #EmployeeWellBeing #NatureInspired #GreenSpaces #WorkplaceEnvironment #OfficeAmbiance

Art is a universal language that speaks to everyone. 🚸 All encompassing Signage: Navigating healthcare should be seamless for everyone. Our signage and wayfinding solutions reflect our commitment to all - ensuring that everyone feels seen and welcomed. 🪑 Furnishings Reflecting variety: From waiting areas to patient rooms, our furnishings are carefully curated to mirror the rich diversity of our community. Because comfort knows no cultural bounds. 🤝 Welcoming to All Backgrounds: Accessibility is not just a physical attribute; it's a mindset. Our healthcare spaces are designed to be open, accommodating, and welcoming to individuals of all backgrounds. Because comfort transcends cultural boundaries. Let's continue to build healthcare environments that not only heal the body but also celebrate the beautiful mosaic of cultures that make our community unique. “We as designers have a responsibility to create environments that aren’t just one size fits all. We have to offer settings that appeal to a diverse array of people and not just assume that every environment is going to allow everyone to thrive….I’m not sure there’s ever going to be one space that suits everybody, that’s why variety and options are so important." In a roundtable for Mix Interiors, Associate Director Amy Barrs explores what it means to design the next generation of spaces to learn and work and how to create adaptive, inclusive and inspiring educational and workplace environments. Ever wondered what happens when office designs go out of style and then make a comeback? 𝗪𝗲’𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂!😉 And don’t worry—you won’t be judged for rocking pink walls a decade after the Barbie movie craze. When designs resurface, their impact can vary. Often, these revivals come with a modern twist, incorporating new materials, technologies, or functionalities that make them feel fresh and relevant. A nostalgic design can offer a new perspective, blending the old with the new to create something innovative. However, the success of these designs depends on how well they adapt to today’s needs and expectations. While retro elements can evoke comfort and familiarity, they must still meet contemporary standards to truly shine in today’s work environment. ••• #PattrnWorkspace #OfficeDesign #OfficeFurniture #FurnitureDesign #InteriorDesign #CommercialOffice #ModernDesign #DesignTrends #TrendingNow

Design That Transforms: Beyond Aesthetics 🌟 Interior design is not just about making a space look beautiful – it’s about crafting an environment that improves the way people live, work, and feel. The right design can enhance productivity, boost creativity, and even improve overall well-being. Take, for instance, a recent project I completed for a small tech startup. The office was cramped, and the team felt disconnected. By rethinking the layout, using multi-functional furniture, and optimizing natural light, I transformed their space. The result? A 30% increase in employee satisfaction, more collaboration among team members, and a boost in overall efficiency. Why it worked: Open, collaborative areas encouraged communication. Natural light and soft hues reduced stress and eye strain. Efficient storage solutions decluttered the workspace, making room for creativity. Design has the power to change not only how a space looks but how it works for the people who use it. When done right, it’s not just decoration – it’s transformation. 🔍 Ready to create a space that enhances your life or business? Let’s talk about how we can make that happen. #InteriorDesign #CaseStudy #WorkplaceDesign #DesignThatMatters #ProductiveSpaces #CreativeEnvironments
