Interesting conversation on measuring success when true success is a level of no adverse events. Number of cases opened with no adverse impact is a valuable metric but can be manipulated by lowering the threshold for opening, so it's hard to compare results from one organization to another without knowing the parameters under the numbers. However, Melissa Muir brings up the high correlation between high employee engagement and low occurrence of incidents. This is a concept worth further study and if it holds, is a win for both the value of HR programs and security.
