Best is too learn airtable linked record feature and apply that list and list detail block through conditional filters.

Start with a template, connect Airtable, play around, and soon you will get good results and working functionality. If you have ideas, I would sketch them out first and then start with Softr. Most likely, you will find all the tools there for your project. As a designer, I would pay attention to consistency. Style the Theme, play with colors, Fonts and experience the different looks that are possible. And YES: Dan Leeman s videos are a great point to start.
