Remote Part-Time HR Generalist needed.
How will you know if this job is a good match for you? You’ll know it is if you are good at playing the game “Whack-a-Mole”. What? You don’t know that old game? OK, go Google it, we’ll wait… Go ahead… Ok, now that you looked it up you know it’s about things popping up all over & you can’t predict where they’re coming from next! And that, dear reader, is life in consulting! Clients hire us because they need US to resolve THEIR issues! And that’s where WE shine! Afterall, if things were perfect, they wouldn’t need us! 😂 Put differently this is a fast-paced environment requiring you to complete a variety of tasks. So, are you ready to “hit those Moles” left, right, forward, & back? If so, read on! Again, this job is a good match for you if you are:
* Experienced in payroll processing * Looking to work 20-25 hours per week (maybe more!)
* In search of a remote position * A seasoned, well-rounded HR Generalist with 5-7 years of experience
* Open to occasional onsite time throughout the DC metro area, though primarily in MD initially.
* Interested in collaborating with experienced HR practitioners who will be great to learn from but are smart enough to know they don’t know it all & will be looking to benefit from your experience, creativity, active input, & suggestions!
The skills needed to be successful working here include:
· Independence. You work on your own. You must manage your schedule and deadlines.
· Judgement. Client employees call you for guidance. You must ask the right questions.
· Technological fluency. You must be able to succeed in a fully virtual environment.
· Experience with applying employment laws (Especially DC, MD, & VA)
· Ability to identify issues and resolve them
· Healthcare/medical experience a BIG plus!
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to build lasting relationships to drive client loyalty
· Track record of working in diverse industries & organizational types
· Strong verbal & written communications skills critical
· Bachelor’s in business/HR preferred. Years of experience may substitute for degree
· SHRM-CP certification preferred.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
· Fluent in Microsoft 365 applications.
This is part-time (we anticipate approximately 20-25+ hours), bonus eligible, & paid hourly ($46-$51/hr).
You must be able to provide a distraction-free work environment with space for a computer and 2-3 monitors and a stable power source and internet connection with dedicated high-speed internet.
Successful completion of a comprehensive background check is required.
