[A Journey to Second Place at Futurest Business Case Competition] I am thrilled to share an incredible journey of innovation, teamwork, and sustainability. In collaboration with Nabil Ahmad Zaky and Christ Ivan Hasudungan Simanjuntak, we embarked on a mission to tackle one of Indonesia's pressing issues: sustainable energy solutions in remote areas, specifically focusing on Duriangkang Dam. The challenge was clear: How can we meet Schneider Electric's sustainability commitments while overcoming the geographical and infrastructural constraints of Batam's factories and warehouses? Our solution: A scalable, efficient Floating Solar PV system, ideally suited for the local conditions of Duriangkang Dam, offering a promising alternative to conventional rooftop PV systems. This initiative stands to significantly reduce CO2 emissions, decrease water evaporation from the dam, and ultimately supply green electricity to thousands. Our proposal detailed comprehensive feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, community engagement plans, and meticulous implementation timelines. The result? An innovative, sustainable solution that respects local ecosystems and community needs while aligning with Schneider Electric's sustainability objectives. This journey was not just about winning second place at the competition; it was about pushing boundaries, inspiring change, and showcasing the potential of renewable energy in Indonesia. I'm incredibly proud of our team's effort, our collaborative approach, and the positive impact our project proposes for the environment and local communities. Let's continue to drive change, innovate responsibly, and pave the way for a greener, more sustainable future. #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #Innovation #FuturestBusinessCaseCompetition #SchneiderElectric #FloatingSolarPV

To wrap our International Symposium on Sustainable Building, Cities, and Community 2024 we did site visit to see #RAFLESIA (rumah reflektif surya Indonesia) - solar reflective house. The lab test of this #coolmaterials reached #Emitance 0.9; #SolarReflectance 72.1%, #SolarAbsorptance 27.9% while the #SolarReflactanceIndex = 0.88. With high reflectivity and emissivity are able to reflect a portion of solar radiation back into the atmosphere while releasing absorbed heat through their radiative cooling capacity. The use of such materials can lead to significant energy savings, with up to 2.9 kW h/m2 saved per 0.1 increase in solar reflectance. Additionally, these materials can help reduce #indooroperativetemperatures by an average of 3°C and #exteriorsurface temperatures by up to 11°C. This underscores the potential of cool facades as a promising technology for enhancing energy efficiency and environmental quality in hot and humid climates. Thank you Prof. Baojie He , Prof. Andreas Matzarakis, Bipin Shah, Fitriani RATMAJA to join the site visit. A COLLABORATION of PT TATALOGAM GROUP + BECOOL INDONESIA + UNIVERSITAS PENDIDIKAN INDONESIA

#Greenenergy is indeed the business of all. By working together, governments, businesses, financial institutions, civil society, individuals, educational institutions, and the international community can create a sustainable energy future. This collective effort is crucial for mitigating climate change, ensuring energy security, and achieving #sustainabledevelopmentgoals. The transition to green energy is not just an environmental imperative but a shared responsibility that promises a brighter, more sustainable future for all. The transition to green energy is a critical endeavor that requires the involvement and commitment of every sector of society. It is not just a matter for governments or environmentalists but a collective responsibility that encompasses individuals, businesses, financial institutions, and civil society. Indonesia is gearing up to be a green energy power in the world. The new city of Nunsantara will be located on the island of Borneo, the world’s third-largest island, shared with the countries of Malaysia and Brunei. The city will run on renewable energy as per reports. I had a very meaningful meeting with Erry Herjuno and team in the Indonesian Embassy in India. Indonesia's plan for renewable energy production and usage especially for #wind, #solar, #greenhydrogen and #CHP are highly promising, largely considering the importance of the new capital city #Nunsantara. Together with all like minded countries the challenge to face #climatechange and #globalwarming can be handled better in order to provide a better environment for our future generation.
