#Solar energy is said to be the key driver of the energy transition, helping all renewable energy technologies claim victory in the race against coal and gas. This victory is set to happen by 2024, but to achieve it, solar needs to work harder, faster, and more efficiently. Our project has taken a small step forward with the launch of 50 States of Solar, v1.5. At the current state, the purpose of the project is to collect and automatically analyze publicly available solar data from the United States. The first round of development has us grabbing from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Next we'll move onto the various generator queues that are available around the nation. The first tool we've made available based on this data, designed by Devin Giannoni, focuses on national and state level solar, wind, and emission free generation as a part of all electricity generation. The next tool we plan to make available will show off a map of all solar power plants in the US, followed by a map of factories. Then I personally hope to design a product, which will be for sale, which creates a valuation of each individual solar power plant in the nation. 📢 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗡𝗥𝗘! 📢 Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued an office memorandum with significant updates for solar consumers: ▶️𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: DISCOMs must now allow consumers to install inverters up to the sanctioned load or as per state regulations, even if the solar module capacity is smaller. This gives consumers the flexibility to optimize energy production without capacity restrictions! ▶️𝗦𝘂𝗯𝘀𝗶𝗱𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲: Consumers opting for hybrid solar systems (with battery storage) can now benefit from subsidies, making it more affordable to store excess solar energy and reduce dependency on the grid. ▶️𝗚𝗲𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀: While geotagged photos of the plant are still required, the consumer no longer needs to be in the photo. Only the solar plant is needed, simplifying the installation process for users. These updates are designed to make solar energy more accessible and affordable for consumers.
