We’re delighted to share the news of BioLumic’s recent partnership with AgriZeroNZ—including an investment into the company—dedicated to enhancing forage grass quality that will improve metabolic efficiency for cows and curb methane emissions.
BioLumic’s seed light treatments activate Genetic Expression traits—we are programming plants with light to unlock natural genetic potential. The partnership is focused on higher-fat traits in ryegrass and other valuable compositional changes that research has shown can reduce enteric fermentation. We’re aiming for a 12% reduction in methane emissions while bolstering productivity for pastureland farmers – stackable with other innovations. Since light treatments occur before seeds are sown and have no regulatory hurdles, it minimizes adoption challenges.
Thank you to the stellar team at AgriZeroNZ and their collaboration partners for charting a course toward widespread adoption and significant greenhouse gas mitigation. For more information about our journey towards a more sustainable and prosperous future for agriculture, follow the link below:

The Future of Farming is rekindling the partnership with nature. 🌎
Not the Chemical Company. 🧪
The future of regenerative agriculture is reimplemting and reestablishing beneficial Biological population of organisms that accelerate regeneration and closes the loop on waste streams. ♻️🦠🐄
NOT more man made synthetic argochemicals that ERADICATES the diverse microbial cycles of life in soil that only select 1 crop type that bolsters pathogenic organisms productions. 🪲🧪☠️
The Future of Farming is low soil disturbance, constant soil cover, high functioning biological soil ecosystems, high plant diversity, perennial crop species, localized farm operations specific to a given bioregen and cutting the cost for farmers, ranchers, and producer on their chemical fertilizer and Pest management budget. 🌱🪱🦠🦋🐝🐞🪱🕸💸

Disappointing to see Purdue celebrating a collaboration with Bayer to study and promote regenerative agriculture. While some might think this partnership is a step towards more sustainable farming practices, the reality is that the chemical and GMO seed companies are trying to stay relevant. They are incorrectly signaling that chemicals are a key part of regenerative practices.
The corporations are aware that a rapidly increasing number of farmers and consumers are watching in awe as soil healing and associated profit gains occur when ecosystems are restored - often in the absence of synthetic inputs.

🌍 AgriBusiness Global recently spoke with Lawrence Middler, Senior Biologicals Analyst at AgbioInvestor for insights into the evolving biologicals market in the EU.
Middler noted that while bio-aligned products like copper and sulfur fungicides are popular in countries like France, Italy, and Spain, citrus-based fungicides and neem oil also feature prominently across the region’s diverse agricultural landscape.
In 2025, increased focus on nitrogen-fixing biostimulants and products targeting abiotic stress is expected, driven by sustainability targets and erratic climate patterns. The EU's shift away from older chemical fungicides and insecticides also supports a trend toward biological solutions for resilient crop protection.
Despite growth, regulatory complexities and competitive landscapes make market entry challenging. However, the rise of row crop applications and collaborations with larger multinationals are promising developments.

Dear #climateaction community: We know from many studies that #glyphosate harms #mycorrhizal#fungi, which is the Earth's most efficient & effective carbon dioxide management system operating for millennia. In 2023, a groundbreaking paper led by Dr. Toby Kiers of SPUN | Society for the Protection of Underground Networks found that mycorrhizal fungi stores and transports roughly 13GT of carbon dioxide a year, which is roughly 36% of GLOBAL CARBON EMISSIONS! https://lnkd.in/g7KRb6d7
To think humans can "solve" climate change without protecting mycorrhizal fungi is beyond idiotic and could not be farther from the truth, and yet, many people I've interacted with in the "carbon dioxide removal" space (#CDR) overlook this fact, and actually, don't think it's in their "wheelhouse" to even comment on pesticide usage!
We must change this perspective if we want to actually have a chance at a balancing the Earth's carbon cycle.
