The UP-TO-ME project is not only producing a clean fuel for marine vessels but also for Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) HGVs are responsible for more than 25% of the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from road transport in the EU, and they account for over 6% of the total EU GHG emissions. By producing a clean renewable fuel for these vehicles, the UP-TO-ME project is hugely contributing to the journey to a net-zero EU economy. Their grant is helping us take a crucial step forward as we pilot projects in Finland, verifying the energy-saving potential and CO2 reduction of our innovative Halia® warming technology. With this grant, we’re advancing our smart surface heating solutions, which use thin, flexible materials to create energy-efficient, responsive heating elements. These systems, seamlessly integrated into high-pressure laminates (HPL), deliver comforting warmth exactly where and when it’s needed, all while using less energy and fewer materials.
