Solution Street’s Post

Solution Street reposted this

The other day I was listening to a new podcast https://lnkd.in/eF8TnHkt that was recommended by a Solution Street colleague, and on that podcast they started to discuss the concept of “model collapse”. I had not heard this exact term before, but I did wonder about the concept in the past, which is basically “what happens when new generative models start to create content based on other/previously generated content?” Does this lead to less unique and original results? Could this lead to AI tools becoming less accurate, reliable, and useful. As AI technology grows, some experts worry that we might see this happen. But is it really possible? Or can we prevent it with the right steps? What do you think? Is model collapse something we should be worried about in the future, or is it just a myth? This is a thought-provoking topic. The concept of "model collapse" indeed raises some interesting questions about the future of AI. Could continuous reliance on generated content lead to diminishing returns in creativity and accuracy? What measures can we take to ensure AI models continue to provide unique and valuable insights? Looking forward to hearing more perspectives on this!
