We are planning our next NOVA SART Meetup and are looking for speakers! We are hoping to do this in September, but would like to line up the speakers before selecting the date. Our topic will be a comparison of AI Code Assist Tools. Each speaker will present on one of the popular AI Code Assist Tools that are out there today. We are looking for speakers to talk about ONE of the following: 1) Github CoPilot 2) Amazon Q Developer and 3) ChatGPT related Code Assist. We will provide you with the format of the talk and areas from each tool we would like you to discuss. Please message us if you are interested in speaking! kschuman@solutionstreet.com

Hi folks, Since we shut down my startup a couple of weeks ago, I decided to open source parts of the bot platform we were building. The primary goal was to provide a plug & play bot so that you could pick the models you want to run and the chat platform you want to use, so that anyone could run their own flavor of personal AI assistant, midjourney-like image generator, etc. The idea is to provide a simple framework and all the boilerplate needed to boot up a bot on your own machine, so people can focus on experimenting with different models and ideas, instead of reinventing the wheel every time. It's still a very early work in progress and I'd love to hear your feedback and ideas. I'm also looking for contributors, so if you're interested in helping out, please reach out! I plan to add support for other formats (eg video generation, img2img, etc) next. The version supports Telegram + OpenAI out of the box (text to image with dalle3, transcriptions with whisper-1 and Q&A with GPT-4) - all you need to do is setup a Telegram API token an and an OpenAI API key (works w/ Azure deployments too). Working on Replicate model support, Llama and Llava models next. Would love to hear your thoughts & feedback! Link for the repo: https://lnkd.in/dGQdCyav

Just stumbled across something pretty cool - Sentient Agent. It's this browser automation tool that's got me rethinking my whole workflow. You know how we're always juggling a million tabs, trying to book flights, research stuff, and wrangle different AI models? This thing does it all with just a few lines of code. I'm talking OpenAI, Together AI, Llama - the works. I've been playing around with it, and honestly, it's a game-changer for all those mind-numbing repetitive tasks. Frees up so much time for the stuff that actually needs my brain. If you're drowning in browser tabs and to-do lists like I was, you might want to check this out. There's a demo video that shows it in action - it's pretty wild what it can do. Anyway, here's the link if you want to give it a shot: https://lnkd.in/ea94xisK Please let me know what you think if you try it! #ProductivityHack #WorkSmarter #TechTips

Last week I mentioned Devin, and while we wait to try it out, I decided to tell you how I use AI during development, and well, maybe get some new tools/suggestions from you. If it's about me, almost every day I use: 👉 Copilot, of course! It's like an extra pair of hands. It's decreasing the need to think about syntax and sometimes even create whole functionalities for me. With it, I can completely focus on building, without getting tripped up over the basics of syntax. 👉 Then, there's ChatGPT – where do I even start? It helps me to generate new ideas to test, prepare work plans, adjust messages, or lend a hand with codes that aren't within my strict specialization (like tricky MongoDB query optimization or improvements or code explanations). And, of course, once I need to create content (and we all know it's not a dev's favourite thing to do) it helps me to make it efficiently by polishing the technical language I use :) Of course, I also use AI to automate the processes. Have you seen what AI can do with Storybook code? There's a super cool guide on how to roll your own Storybook GPT (check it out here - https://lnkd.in/dwcvBvSR). And that just makes my work smoother. And, I can admit - more fun! I also like experimenting with new tools. Right now, I'm checking v0.dev, to see if they can do some initial work for me. I'd love to hear which tools you're using! Catch you in the comments! #ai #development #devtips

As we continue to leverage OpenAI APIs, it's important to recognize the limitations we've imposed on ourselves. We need to overcome the knowledge gap and expand our thinking beyond ChatGPT. The first wave of everything was built on OpenAI APIs, but now we have Cohere, Claude, Gemini, and Llama, among others, to help us create highly profitable businesses that use multiple models for video, voice, text, and automation. Automation is key to achieving a good ROI, especially when implemented at scale. It's incredible to see how quickly these models are advancing towards true AGI. The future is bright with endless possibilities, and I can't wait to see what unfolds this week and next😊 https://lnkd.in/g2wtSNDj
