Last week I did something a little different. I toured a number of apartment communities as a judge for the Houston Apartment Association’s 2024 Honors Awards. 🏆
I love touring apartment communities, but this time it was with a different perspective, based on the judging criteria on my clipboard (resident service, appearance/appeal, community service, operating performance, and unique features/amenities/services). 🤓
First impressions matter:
- How easy was it to find and park 📍
- What you see as you walk up 👀
- How you’re greeted as you walk in to the leasing office 👋🏻
- How the leasing office looks, smells, and feels 🫣
These first impressions generally tallied with my final scores. 🤩🧮
I won’t say too much, since the winners will be revealed in 6 weeks or so… 🤫
But it’s gotten me thinking about my company Lodgeur, and how we can level up our first impressions. ↗️
